Book Description

March 1, 1995
Discover the fascinating stories of some of the early pioneers of Park City, Utah!

Each year, hundreds of people walk through the silent rows of headstones at Park City and Glenwood Cemeteries. They read the inscriptions chiseled into the monuments and wonder who these people were, what their lives were like, and how they died. From Park City's most famous madman, to the one-armed sheriff, to the miner gunned down by "Black Jack Murphy," STORIES IN STONE brings to life more than 100 tales from the grave.

Complete with photographs, maps and grave locations, STORIES IN STONE is the perfect guidebook for those who wish to take a self-guided tour into Park City's past.

Editorial Reviews

Review

The book has no deeper purpose than to demonstrate the diversity of the dead, but it works. -- The Salt Lake Tribune, June 4, 1995
