Data corruption, June 2, 2003
This review is from: 256MB Flash Drive Axis (Personal Computers)
I originally bought this item because I need a small, portable USB drive I can carry in my pocket, and pull out while at internet cafes in Seoul. After looking at several models, I found the Storix 256MB drive and ordered it.
This thing is tiny, make no mistake. What's more, the USB port covering stays permanently connected, so you'll never loose it unless it breaks physically.
BUT... After a few days, I noticed that almost EVERY FILE i put on the drive became corrupted immediately. I tried the "Safely Remove Hardware" option in Windows XP, thinking that it might help, but that did no good.
I will be sending this item back, which is a shame. The size and design is great, but it's essentially useless.

The Best USB Flash design..ever., October 4, 2004
This review is from: 256MB Flash Drive Axis (Personal Computers)
I wish these were still made. I have two and have never had a problem with them. The design is beyond compare. A captive cap and small form factor trump everyone else save the iomega micros out there. Iomega is always a little pricey though. I have USB flash drives from linksys, sony, storix, and sandisk. The Storix Axis is the one I use all the time--my fovorite.
