Glad I'm an engineer,

I knew this assembly was going to be fun when I counted out the 154 fasteners of various types and sizes. An then when I saw that the "multi-language" instructions were just pictures - no words, I definetly had some concerns. But I have put together lots of furniture over the years. I am an engineer with 40 years experience, a parent (2 children) and grandparent (3 grandchildren). So in a little under 2 hours, I had the chest of drawers successfully assembled. While the wood is particle board, the laminate is a nice color and the finished product is good. The major reason I rated this a 3 is the fastener system used was of fairly low quality - compared to, for example, the baby changing table I also just bought and assembled: Badger Basket Cherry Sleigh Style Baby Changing Table
To help others who tackle this item, here are some thoughts: 1) the A & B fasteners should be connected fairly tightly to insure they do not come loose. But not too tight or the wood might split. 2) Side panels 1 and 5 did not have their numbers on the part. Instead "Side panel Left" (part #1) had numbers 2 and 3 on it. The 2 and 3 turn out to be the numbers of parts that connect to this left side panel. Similarly for "Side panel right" (part #5) have numbers 6 and 7 on it. 3) Step 15 incorrectly references piece 6. It should be part 9 - as that is the part with the groove for the rear panel. 4) Be carefully attaching the drawer knobs. The wood is not too strong so it is easy to overtighten. I ended up using a dab of wood glue to help hold the knobs firmly in place.

Nice but tall,

This is a relatively nice piece for the price. It looks nice in our nursery, it is true white so it matches our Graco crib Graco Victoria Non Drop Side 5 In 1 Convertible Crib White, and is sturdy. The drawers open/close smoothly, but I would have preferred the drawer bottoms to be made of wood rather than heavy cardboard / particle board material. The assembly wasnt as difficult for my husband as previous reviewers experienced. There are a lot of pieces and it took some time but it wasnt that challenging. My only complaint is the height of the piece - which is clearly stated so this is my own fault. I'm about to become a first time mom and didnt realize a tall changing table with a thick changing pad might work for a very tall mom but not for me. Also, this piece requires a smaller (30") changing pad instead of a standard 32" pad. The LA Baby 4 sided 30" changing pad LA Baby 4 Sided Changing Pad 30", Whitefits great. I would purchase this again for the look & quality but probably not for the height

Not thrilled,
By dunnydidi (New York, NY) - See all my reviews

We bought this dresser for our second baby, so we were very dissapointed when it did not turn out to be as good quality as the one we picked for our first child. One of the glides for the top drawer was missing a component so the top drawer does not slide in straight and looks lopsided. I need to call the company about replacing that part, but haven't had a chance as who has time for these things with a young baby.... I also thought I could use the top of the dresser as a changing table as we had done with our first baby's dresser, and I was dismayed to find out that the top surface is slightly smaller (by a few inches) than the standard changing station surface so the changing mat that we had previously does not fit. Not very happy with this product, it doesn't feel like a solid qulity piece of furniture and doesn't look/act like it either!
