I bought this dresser because it was the closest matching color and style to my baby's crib. I was very worried about all the bad reviews about how "cheap" and how "difficult to assemble" it was. Well, I have to say, I bought this dresser put it together by myself w/ not one problem. The directions were very self explainatory, and if you have put together pieces of furniture before, you should not have a problem at all. All the drawers lined up perfectly, there was no hardware missing, and no need to "drill new holes" what so ever. It is very sturdy, very thick, and very nice! The drawers are lacking in depth, however the front of the drawers are very big. So you can pile clothes pretty high, just won't be much support on the sides. It is baby furniture after all. It is also much larger than I expected, a definite plus! It is beautiful and I am not worried what so ever about using this as a changing table for her. I am now on my mission to review it on as many sites as possible so no one else fears buying this as much as I did. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

First off, I did not get this item from Amazon, I got it from a big store for $100 dollars less. Also I chose this item because it was an appropriate height for me and my fiance, we are very tall!

Whenever I get furniture that must be assembled, the first thing I do is organize the parts and take inventory.

Let me repeat that: I TAKE INVENTORY.
After organizing all of the little hardware pieces into ice cube trays I thought I was missing two parts, but upon calling storkcraft, A very nice man explained to me that part N just looks different than the illustration, and that parts O and P come screwed together, I wasn't missing any parts.

Parts 1, 9, and 5 seem like they are not labeled, but they are...just in a more roundabout way. 1 and 5 have two stickers on them, 1 has 2 and 3 because parts 2 and 3 go in on those sides.
Other items that weren't labeled were probably not labeled because their was only one of them and its obvious what it is, also the less stickers I have to remove the happier I am.

Granted, I hate instructions without words. But I am an intelligent human being, and with some patience and planning my fiance and I put this together with relative ease in just about 2 hours. We only messed up once and it was an easy fix.

Everything was packages nicely, the only dings came from us.

WE PUT IT TOGETHER CORRECTLY AND IT IS EXTREMELY SOLID. The people that reviewed this item and said it was cheap, or unstable clearly did not put it together correctly or have the patience to attempt to understand the instructions.

I mean, for the $250 I spent, I feel like we got a really good piece of furniture that will last many children. Also, you can't get solid wood furniture for under $700, it's impossibly. Yes the drawer bottoms are particle board, but it's a $300 dresser, what do you expect?

I am not trying to toot my own horn, but I can just about do anything I put my mind to, I am a handyman by trade. THIS, however, was a nightmare to put together. I put a crib and glider together in 1 hour, this took 3. First, the packaging is like a burrito, one long piece of padding that snakes the whole way through, more styrofoam than wood, well padded but a huge waste of materials. Pieces are not marked, they are only marked for the pieces they attach to, if marked at all. The finish is nice, but I have never seen so much hardware for 1 piece of furniture. The fasteners seem to be strong so that is a plus, hard on the hands after a while (I work all day with my hands). If you use a screwdriver you will develop carpal tunnel. I used a 12v drill and set it on a VERY low setting so I could finish by hand. There are hardwood pieces and particle board pieces. The "predrilled" holes on the back of dresser and the bottom of the drawers do not match up, PRE DRILL YOUR HOLES into the particle board, or you will break and/or splinter the wood. Once it is all done, you will be VERY happy with the product. It is beautiful and much larger than I expected. Instructions weren't good, but I've seen worse. One last thing, the hardware that is numbered separate from the door hinge, and looks like the door hinge and that is attached to the door and you cannot find it...it is because they number the complete hinge one number, and the separated hinge a different number, but never says to separate in the instructions. Good luck!!! Worth it but all reviews are right, not easy.

Easy assembly and no pieces or parts were missing. Drawers are not very deep. Overall great product!

When I purchased this item, I had searched for changing tables. Since this item came up, I assumed it was a "combo" dresser & changing table. It can definitely NOT be used as a changing table. It is still a nice piece of furniture & looks very nice put together.

Yes, I agree with the prior review regarding the length of the instruction manual, but it is hard from difficult to assemble. Although it doesn't go together in 5 steps like other flat packed furniture, the result is a far more sturdy piece of furniture. If you want a product that snaps together in a jiffy, this isn't for you. If you want quality furniture that will hold together for quite some time, give it a shot.

I purchased this whole set in the cognac color. The 5-drawer chest, 3 drawer dresser combo(with the door) and the matching crib! This is an absolutely beautiful set of very good quality that I continually get compliments on.
As with most things you order, it takes some work to put it together, but with a few screwdrivers, a hammer, and a power drill, it's no problem! In fact I did it all myself, and wouldn't let my husband or father help!
The customer service is also great. I had one item come in damaged. They immediately sent another via fedex.
I highly recommend this set. You won't regret it.

My husband and I bought this dresser with high expectations drawn in by the good price and the positive reviews. Our experience makes us unable to recommend this dresser.

Pros:
1. Style. The dresser is stylish and matches our DaVinci Emily crib pretty well for being made by a different company.
2. The price is right! I found that it was pretty hard to find a good-looking dresser chest (with changing table area) for <$200. This was one of the few that I found and for me was the most attractive for the price.

Cons:
1. Dresser door was missing drill holes! I don't doubt that those who gave the product good ratings DID receive a product that didn't have missing drill holes or missing items. However, I suspect that this product may have QC issues so that some people are getting the product correctly made for assembly and others are getting a product that is not correctly made. We fell in the latter category. The dresser door (right side) definitely did not have any holes drilled in it when we received it.
2. Incorrect instructions. the instructions (from the very first step) had a picture that didn't quite match the pieces we had (it showed incorrect placement of holes that were drilled in various pieces).
3. Poor construction. We also found that the backing to the dresser (flimsy particle board) didn't match up well to the back of the dresser making it hard to attach this piece correctly. Since the backing was just particle board, we found that this did little to add structural support to the dresser and so we were pretty unimpressed with the sturdiness of the dresser (it looks sturdier than it actually is). That said, I still feel fairly comfortable changing my infant on the dressing part without worrying that the whole thing will come apart.

In the end, we were very disappointed with this product. Yes, the dresser looks nice in our nursery and the style and even color of the dresser match our crib. However, we couldn't believe how sloppy the instructions and manufacture of the various pieces were and found that the dresser was not as sturdy as it appears. Others have written that they had no problem with missing drill holes, etc... so I can only think that when you buy this product you roll the dice to see whether you get a "good" product or one that has various problems. Buy at your own risk!

Well I have to agree with the other reviews, the instructions for this product are a negative 10! Just Terrible!!! Out of all of the pieces only about 5 are numbered and you spend most of your time just staring at the insturctions trying to figure out exactly what piece is what. It took several hours to put together and unfortunatley two of the main pieces are split all the way down the middle. I will say that the packaging was wonderful though. Everything was nicely wrapped and protected. No dents or dings from shipment. The box was in perfect condition.
Once the dresser was put together though, it looked really nice for the price. The level of frustration over it though, was not so good. Its not very stable either. Alittle on the wabbly side but over all it looks great in my nursery and knowing that I didnt have to spend hundreds of dollars for what I'm sure would have been the same quality is great. They dont make things like they use to, so for the price, it was worth it! Just beware, its very soft material so it dents very easily. Dont expect this item to last through the years with your kids!

A bit of time to put it together, but not too difficult. It works great as a changing table and is beautiful. My only complaint is how shallow (height-wise) the drawers are. The face of the drawers is much taller than the inside walls. Otherwise it's great.
