I was very disappointed in the product. The picture does not accurately represent the armoire. The entire back is just cardboard paneling and the inside of the armoire is white plywood, not cherry wood at all. The pictures should show the inside view of the cabinet, in addition to the outside. Also, pieces did come chipped, cracked and one piece was also split into two!!! I returned the item and wish I hadn't ordered in the first place.

I have never taken the time to write a review before but thought this deserved one. Like many people on a tight budget I scoured the east coast for a good deal on a decent crib! I was terrified after all the reviews, but felt I should try anyway. We got the crib, combo tower and the armoire and they look beautiful! There are a few things that you can notice if you look deep enough, but they don't look like anything more than flaws in natural wood. I put all 3 peices together myself at 33 weeks pregnant, with no problem and the directions were actually very good. No missing pieces at all!! We bought ours at Baby Depot, through Burlington Coat Factory, because I didn't want to pay for shipping and they keep it in stock!!!! BIG HELP! It fit in our Altima, and Baby Depot will replace any missing or broken pieces (we didn't have any) right from the store so no dealing with Storkcraft or mail. Our nursery looks great and we did it for roughly $700. Can't beat that!! Highly recommend!!!

I ordered several pieces of the Storkcraft furniture for our upcoming arrival, and was pleased with most of the furniture. I ordered everything with plenty of time for exchanges in case there were problems, too. The Armoire arrived with pieces that were split down the middle and severely damaged on the corners. I contacted their customer service department immediately to order replacement parts (as recommended in the instructions), and with a little patience got the order submitted. Since they are in Canada and I live in the US, I was told it could take a few weeks for the delivery to reach me. Well, I'm going on 4 weeks now and just heard from them that the order still has not shipped from Canada. I am running out of time and getting quite anxious about my next move. They assure me that the order has been "expedited", but I'm skeptical.
I think the Armoire will be beautiful once put together, but dealing with this company has been quite a chore.

I purchased this armoire and put it together. I am 7 months pregnant. It was easy to assemble and it's a beautiful piece.

How can you get upset because you have a pasteboard backing. How many people are going to see the back of the thing anyway HELLO!!!! This is a budget piece. If you want total wood than spend the $$... I think that it is a great piece for the price. Again I would not recommend having it shipped. They have this entire set in Burlington Coat factory if you want to see it. The deminsions are also on Targets website...

My only suggestion is that you stand back and look at the piece and visualize it. It's easy to get a few pieces turned backwards. Take time to tag your pieces with letters. Storkcraft needs to place letters on the pieces. It would make assembly much easier...

I like the piece and I was thinking about using it as a closet too. It does not look like a $200 piece. I'm happy

I read reviews on products people write who actually have the products. They help me make responsible consumer decisions. Why give a review if you don't have the product... that is not a review it's an opinion!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. POORLY MADE AND IT WAS SHIPPED DAMAGED. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAY TOO MUCH CONFUSION FOR A SIMPLE ORDER. SUFFICE TO SAY I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BABIES R US AND WILL NOT USE AMAZON .COM.

I got this armoire for significantly less on ebay, it was easy to put together (I did it by myself in an hour or so at 6 months pregnant) and none of the pieces were damaged. However I'm not sure what Storkcraft considers "hard wood", the armoire scratched very easily (you could scratch the wood with your fingernail) when I put it together. Otherwise it is a very nice piece of furniture, I would not have thought it worth the $300-$400 price range some websites have it listed at because the wood is so soft (it seems to be pine). I did end up taking out one of the shelves and installing a clothes rod, and adding a few hooks inside the doors for extra storage.

I would not reccomend this product. It was cheaper at Amazon.com than walmart, but It took forever to get. It took two weeks for us to get it. When caption said ships 5-7 days. Than when we did get it, several pieces were broken. Major pieces. When I called the company, (which I was on hold for 30 minutes) then told me that we had so many pieces that were broken (5) that we needed to return it. I told them no, it's over 100 lbs and I am 7mth preg. they then changed the tune and said they would ship the parts they would be here in 4 weeks. Another mth. So it took almost 2 mths to get this product. It is not worth the problems. Plus, nothing was labeled, and you had to figure out what pieces were what. Plus, the shelves inside the unit are WHITE, the armoire is natural but the shelves inside are white. I called the company and they said this is true.

I was very excited to receive the Armoire this past weekend. However, after opening the package we found a crack on one of the pieces. I called Strokcraft directly to see what the alternatives were for this type of issue. The only way to compensate for the issue was replacement of the part. The rep indicated that the delivery of the new part can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks. With the baby coming in within a week or so, who has the time to wait. The product is what you pay for.

We've had this armoire for a year and a half and I'm afraid its not going to last much longer. It wobbles every time you open the doors or close a drawer.
You have to install your own rod if you want to hang baby clothes, which is tricky because the side walls are so thin the screws easily poke through.
This line of furniture is OK if you can't afford anything else. We also bought the crib and changing table, with shelving unit. The crib is sturdy, but we've had real issues with the changing table not staying screwed together and the shelving unit being flimsy.

My husband and i bought this item because it was cheap and it was the look we were looking for. We got it home and opened the box to find a few of the pieces had scratches and corners broken off. We finally got a whole new armoire and all the pieces were fine but trying to put this thing together is a real pain. Half of the pieces were not labled and it tells you to put pieces together backwards. Once we figured it out and got it together it looked great. I recommend if your going to buy this product look it over and use your own judgement when needed. Its beautiful but a real headache.
