Great light reading. But sort of a cliff hanger at the end of the book!!!

This entry in the series is a shining star in an already bright series. There is jeapordy as well as the upcoming birth of Meg and Micheal's kids. i wish books earlier in the series were avaliable on Kindle though.

Love this author. She's always funny, her characters are hilarious.Lately, I feel as though it's losing it's charm and not as funny. I will still buy her books, though.. Still love them!

I look forward to each new book in this series. Andrews has yet to disappoint me. A great combination of wacky-within-almmost-normal-limits family and good mysteries.

As if the eminent arrival of their first born child - no children (never to do anything by halve measures Meg is having twins) is not enough Michael has invited a visiting playwright to stay in their rambling farmhouse. After all what is one more in the ever expanding madhouse they live in? The whole zany crew of Meg's eccentric family and friends troop in and out of the house all the time anyway so what's one more. Of course now that Meg is so heavily pregnant that she can only vaguely remember what her feet looked like she might want to take a break but then things will calm down after the babies arrive right? In any case before too long the madness level goes sky high as once again Meg finds herself in the midst of an investigation while she struggles to establish some sort of order amid chaos. This is part of a long running series of comic mysteries featuring ornamental blacksmith Meg Lanslow, her husband Michael and their ever expanding circle of more than slightly mad family and friends. The emphasis in this series is very much on the comic rather than the mystery although there are always a twist or two along the way that will keep the reader guessing. There is a very strong overall story arc to this series so by all means read these novels in order as much as possible. |
