Book Description

Allison gave him her virginity seven years ago, but she hasn't thought about Michael for years--until they end up stranded together in a tropical storm. She's just as attracted to his sexy intensity and humor as she used to be, but she's not a silly girl anymore. Sure, she might enjoy a one-night-stand, but she's never going to fall for him. Not again.

Always in the public eye for his business dealings and his high-profile relationships, Michael doesn't trust journalists, and he doesn't trust women. Allison is both, Which means he can never surrender to his tumultuous feelings for her, even though they only rage stronger when the storm finally ends.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read! August 6, 2013

**4.5 out of 5 Stars**

Read my full review at [...]

This book is a short, sweet, and fun read. There isn't a lot to it, no major drama, just simply 2 people trying to find their way together while fighting it a little bit. I loved it and it was what I needed at the moment. The books I've been reading lately have put me in a bit of book block. I read it in one sitting and didn't want to put it down. The characters are easy to love and you just want them to be happy...together. I felt for the things Michael had to go through to become the cynical man he is. I hated that Allison had to prove herself because of her profession but I understood why. This book will pull you along with it, lightly knocking you down but picking you up again. It left me feeling happy and settled. The writing style is easy to follow, the story is told from both his and her POV. I enjoyed the plot...I love books about 2 people being stranded because of a storm. I mean seriously what is there to do but fall for each other? It's a great little read without any lasting emotions.

Short and sweet with very few ups and downs and a easy 4.5 stars for me. I can't bring myself to give it 5 stars because it didn't blow me away but I did enjoy reading it and it wasn't filled with angst issues that made me want to scream and bash my head against a wall. It was just perfect light reading. If you're looking for something fun and easy then give this book a try!

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy romantic read June 15, 2014
By Deborah
Format:Kindle Edition
Alison Dent is a reporter working for a web magazine and she's currently in Virginia working on human interest stories while Tropical Storm Lydia has caused the whole area to be evacuated. Leaving it later than she should she sets off to escape the danger area, driving in horrendous weather she nearly crashes into a SUV, the driver of this vehicle is Michael Martin her first love, the man who took her virginity and the man who been dogged by the press for years, he's handsome, rich and has recently suffered a very public break-up of his engagement, leaving him with no love for journalists. They're stranded together while taking shelter from the storm but can they fight the intense attraction that exists between them.

This was a nice easy read which goes as you would expect, the characters are good particularly Alison she's a very good female lead and one of the things I particularly liked was the fact that even though Michael had taken her virginity when she was just seventeen and she thought herself in love with him she has no hang-ups or remaining trauma over the event, she took it all in her stride and is a well balanced level headed woman. Must mention that I loved ingrate, but then who wouldn't.

3.0 out of 5 stars good December 16, 2013

In my opinion a good story in need of a different writing style. Connecting with the characters was difficult, probably because they TELL you everything instead of letting you IMAGINE and FEEL.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read, complex characters July 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book had a fast paced storyline and interesting characters that were just flawed enough to be interesting. Would have liked the author to broaden the back story a little bit.

3.0 out of 5 stars An alright read January 23, 2015
By Jen R
Format:Kindle Edition
Storm Front is a light, fluffy read. It was alright, I did enjoy it, but it wasn't as amazing as I had hoped it would be.

Allison and Michael knew each other years ago. Allison had a crush on Michael and gave her virginity to him, but then that was the end of that. I am not really sure why he never said anything to her after that or whatever as I don't remember it really being explained, just vaguely mentioned that it was that one night and then shortly thereafter they were living in different places so...

Anyways, Allison is now a reporter covering the big tropical storm when the area is supposed to be evacuated. She stays later than she should getting some human interest stories so she is trying to get out when the weather is not the best. Everything is fine until she gets into an accident with a car coming the other way.

Now who is in that car? Michael of course! And he does not like journalists since they have been hounding him about his personal life. He had a very public break up of his engagement and has been hiding out ever since. His ex is not the best so he is skeptical of women in general, but when Allison and Michael must ride out the storm together in a borrowed house things quickly heat up. It was fun and an easy read, and when they get back to real life there are some issues but they are easily overcome. It was am alright read. I liked both characters well enough, but nothing really made me love them. I didn't see an amazing connection between them, but was happy enough they got together. Just an alright read with nothing making it stand out in my mind.

What a nice read about a rich guy with a hang up on reporters and trust issues. It was sweet, compassionate, romantic and sexy. Loved Michael and Allison... and Ingrate too. A nice read for any lazy afternoon! Enjoy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs a competent editor, but otherwise ok
Cute little read if you take it for what it is- an erotic fantasy- but the endless grammatical errors totally ruined it for me. I expect better editing on a finished product.
