4.0 out of 5 stars Great stories from the prime of Lance's career. April 29, 2012

Format:Kindle Edition
Storm Front collects the best of commentaries from pro wrester Lance Storm's website written during Lance's years working for the WWE (May 2001 - April 2004).

The collection starts with the commentary he wrote immediately following his first appearance on WWE television. Lance was the first WCW wrestler to appear as part of the "Invasion" angle and he purposely chose to open with this as a counterpoint to the last collection (Storm Warning), which ended with a tale of him being the last one to leave on the night of the final Nitro. This collection ends with his last match as a WWE wrestler (he would continue to work for them for a while as a trainer). This provides nice "bookends" to the collection and gives a decent period to pull content from.

As with Storm Warning, introductions and comments have been added to most of the pieces to give a little bit of perspective, and there are photos added in throughout.

Though the time period and stories are different, the style and presentation is largely the same, so from my review of Storm Warning: "I've been following Lance's commentaries on for a few years now and was curious to read material from before he retired. He has a clear writing style and is a good storyteller. The commentaries here are as often about the large amounts of traveling required in his profession as they are about matches and wrestling specifics. There is a lot of humor in Lance's stories, whether it be from tales of "ribbing" friends or laughing along with Lance at the absurd difficulties he's had with certain airlines."

This collection of course focuses on his WWE career, but contains a number of stories about his early adventures as well.

Not sure why it took me so long to post this, but I always love Lance Storm's columns and quickly got this one when it was released. This is a must read for wrestling fans, especially ones in 2001-2004

5.0 out of 5 stars As always, Lance Storm delivers November 3, 2013

In addition to being one of the best in ring wrestlers of his generation, he is also one of most intelligent and articulate as well. I enjoyed reading his stories from his time as a wrestler. Despite being stuck with the "boring" gimmick at one point, you will find him to be anything but that after reading this.

I follow Lance Storm on twitter & I've heard many of his followers speak highly of his books. I'm glad I listened and I only hope he continues to put out gems like his first two books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining read October 3, 2012

I've always been a Lance Storm fan, and a fan of wrestling autobiographies in general. While this is not an autobiography per say it was a good read, and the contemporary preface for each commentary was a nice touch. Would recommend to any wrestling fan.
