An Killer Album,
By Jason Kowalski (Rochester, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Storm in the Heartland (Audio CD)
I just bought this an couple of weeks ago, and i have to admit, even though it's an older CD, it can still get you rocking. "Storm in the Heartland", "Casulty of Love", and "Redneck Heaven: are all awesome songs. I saw Billy perform an couple of days ago, and i wanted him to sing Storm in the Heartland. Which he did'nt, i guess cause it's an older song. When I met him later, i asked him why he did'nt do it, and he said his keyboardist was'nt good at it. Oh well. But if you get the chance to see him perform and you have'nt seem him yet, take that one opportunity. You won't be dissapointed. He was supporting his new Southern Rain album. Another CD worth buying.

Awesome album,
By The Breeze (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Storm in the Heartland (Audio CD)
This is quite possibly Billy's best CD. The songs are top notch, the music is rockin', and he really demonstrates his awesome "growling" ability throughout the CD. This is more of a rock album than country, in my opinion, especially because of songs like "Geronimo," "Enough Is Enough," "Roll Me Over," and "Casualty Of Love." For fans of the more country-sounding stuff, you'll love the title track, "Redneck Heaven," "I Ain't Even Left," and "Patsy Come Home." It's a shame this album was so largely ignored by radio. It's one of the most played CDs I own.

~Storm In The Heartland~ - The title track is the hit.,
By Daniel A. Childs (Nashville, Tennessee) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Storm in the Heartland (Audio CD)
I do not own this album, but I have heard many things that are on it. The title track, "Storm In The Heartland", should have been a much bigger hit. It is one of my favorite songs of all time. Another one of my favorite songs of all time, "One Last Thrill" is on this album too. I find this album to be some-what similar to "It Won't Be The Last", which is a good thing in my opinion. I sure do like Billy Ray's music. He is a super guy too. Get this album, because it is extremely rare to find in stores, and because there are many great things on it.
