Interesting and Suspenseful,
By J.R. Tate "Author" (Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Storm Runners LP (Paperback)
The plot in this book is very original. Matt Stromsoe finds himself in a deep depression after his wife and child are savagely murdered in a bomb that was meant for him, by a friend from his childhood. Sad and desperate, he moves away from his former home and buries himself deep in alcohol and self pity. A few years later, he is handed a second chance and is hired to be a body guard for a local meteorologist back home.Despite the fact that he still has injuries from being injured in the bomb, he finds himself in a situation that involves an apparent stalker, only to realize it goes much deeper than that. The meteorologist holds a secret that many people are after. Matt gets deep into protecting her, especially when he finds out one of the men involved is a ghost back to haunt him. Not wanting a repeat of his past, he tries his hardest to keep her out of trouble, away from the mad men who will do anything to stop her and access her secret. This is a story full of angst, suspicion, pain, redemption, and love. T. Jefferson Parker does a great job in pacing the plot and keeping the pages turning for the reader. I couldn't put it down! |
