Good, just not great,

Let me start off by saying this is a good joystick. However, if you are choosing between this and a Dual Shock joystick, I suggest going with the dual shock. Firstly, you can just tell the dual shock is higher quality. Also, the buttons are way too close together. There are 6 buttons on the face, but the 2 rightmost buttons default to L1 and R1. You think you are hitting triangle or O, but you end up hitting L1 or R1 by mistake due to the buttons being so close together. Also, the D-pad is analog which can be good for some people. However, if you plan on using it for a fighting game then it is horrible; it is very hard to do a double-tap on the d-pad because of its analog nature. In my opinion, the thumbsticks are made to be analog, leave the D-pad under digital control. Finally, the rumble is a little overdone. It is cool to feel, but the joystick sounds like it is about to explode. The sound can be so loud at times that it drowns out the game. In conclusion, I feel this is a decent gamepad; it does the job. But if you plan on playing fighting games or want the highest quality joystick (in my opinion), go with Sony's Dual Shock.

CONTROLLER IS A WASTE OF MONEY,
By eugene (NYC) - See all my reviews

this controller is bulky, its not very comfortable the bottom line is even if you think your hands are big enough to handle it, buy a regular dual shock 2 controller thats what i did pay another 5 bucks and you'll save yourself a lot of trouble, the program function is useless, the analog joysticks are too tight, the two extra buttons are just plain annoying, and the shoulder buttons are impossible to use, by the way it look like something batman would use

thois controller is good but it does have problems.#1 the sides of the controller are good for larger hands like that of shaq but for us smaller peeps it makes it too hard to press the buttons the controller isnt crap, it is just angles for a more bigger handed gamer. if you are feeling fine with the dual shock 2 and want another controller and if your hands are small, dont get it. opt for a regular dualshock or a dual shock 2 only diff between these 2 is the colour

Don't Waste your money!,

This is a piece of shoddy merchandise. I managed to break the left joystick in less than an hour of playing. My Sony controller on the other hand is almost a year old and isn't broken yet.

Waste of Money!,

I recently bought one of these last month for multiplayer games with friends. I tried it out to make sure everything was okay then I shelved it for two weeks. My friend and I went to play two weeks ago and the thing didn't work! The only thing that worked was R1. What a piece of junk! I've tried it on all my friends PS2's and they all have the same results. So save yourself some money and get something else.

Okay, but Just isn't right for GT3,
A Kid's Review

The StormChaser is an OK controller but I prefer the Sony DualShock 2 better. My reason is I love GT3 and when I play it it just automatically lets off the gas and this problem doesn't happen with Dual Shock 2 so I think that Dual Shock 2 is better for GT3 fans otherwise it's a great controller.

This is a great controler if you keep it working,

My friend and I love these controllers the only problem is the wont stay working, they work great for a month or two then stop working correctly they will work for somegames but then not on others. This is an excellent controller for Tiger Woods 2003 and 2004 golf but it tears up on you fast. I think interact needs to do some more work on these. INter Act is hard to get contact info on also web site does not work.

Poor Fit, Extremely Tight,
By
This review is from: Stormchaser Gamepad (Video Game)
Since this controller is made by Interact, the same company that makes the GameShark2, I thought this would be a great controller. However, I should have spent a little more money and bought an actual Sony DualShock2 :-( The main problem is that this controller is really designed for someone with BIG hands, like some of the tallest NBA players. I have fairly large hands myself, with long fingers from two decades of playing piano, yet it was still rather difficult to reach the shoulder buttons. I cannot imagine some of my friends with REALLY tiny hands trying to use this controller when they come to visit!!! This is certainly NOT a controller for children, as their hands are simply not large enough to adequately grip the controller. Also disheartening is the extreme tightness of the controller's buttons - including the directional keys (D-pad) - directly out of the box. This controller features programmable button sensitivity, but even that did not fix the problem :-( In the end, this controller is really good for only one thing: a complete waste of money.

DECENT FOR SOME PEOPLE,
By "menchifus" (Studio City, CA USA) - See all my reviews

This controller is a little big and bulky. Luckily, I have big enough hands to use it. For those with tiny hands, don't buy this. My other problem with the controller is the placement of two extra buttons that substitute for L1 and R1. Instead of 4 well-placed buttons, you get six. I never use the extra two buttons and sometimes I accidentally hit them, especially in a crucial part of the game. With that said, I've gotten used to this controller and will stick with it.
