5.0 out of 5 stars cursive at their finest., November 29, 2005
This review is from: The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song (Audio CD)
this album could not be any better. my favorite album by one of my all-time favorite bands. i would recommend this over "the ugly organ" any day, but i love everything this band does. this record was great because it was so raw and even almost sloppy at times..some of the best guitar/drum work in indie rock exists here.

Although it comes just before Domestica, this is certainly old-style Cursive. More yelling Kasher, but really solid album. I never used to pick this one up, but lately I can't get enough. It really has amazing material that you can grow to appreciate.

3.0 out of 5 stars cursive-all their cds are good, July 28, 2008
This review is from: The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song (Audio CD)
it's good. Some of the songs I recognized from partially downloaded albums and other piece-meal compilations but it's nice to have all the songs. It's not as good as their last two albums though. If you can snag it for cheap ten do so. If you're one of those people that have to have every album that a band puts out then fine. Otherwise it's not an album that you immediately love. It has to grow on you. It's not as accessible as their new stuff. But some people like that so to each his own. But remember, this album is old. It was way ahead of it's time at the time it was put out. It's a little slow for me now, though.
