My introduction to classical music,
By Giddy Grandma (Virginia Beach, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Story of Bach (Vinyl)
I received the Tale Spinners, The Story of Bach as a gift around 1963. I was seven at the time and I listened to it over and over again. I was fascinated that such a young boy was so gifted with music. I began asking my parents to help me buy classical music LP's. J. S. Bach has remained my favorite Baroque musician to this day (although he has to vie with Handel for my listening pleasure). I would consider what United Artists attempted to do with their versions of fairy tales and famous biographies equal to what the Golden Books have done over the years. It is very regrettable that current kindegarteners are not able to weed out the best of books and music now that they are so bombarded with info and images from the internet. I must now confess that I still have "The Story of Bach" LP from my childhood and will treasure it always.
