time for the greatest voice to get respect.......,

This review is from: Story Goes (Audio CD)
I live all the way on the Westside of America in California so you can imagine how hard it was to get this UK artist's CD. I was going to the record store every day demanding that they look in the back for it cus I knew it was out. I've been a Craig fan since "Fill me in" and it is amazing to watch this kid grow into a man. I'm so glad there is some new David songs he is the the greatest voice in the world! In my country there are hundreds of guy vocalists who get polished in the studio with their expensive producers or rely heavily on flashy dance numbers, but give Craig a stage and his accustic guitar player and its game over. Why does he get no respect in this country? No one can match his vocal talent. Ok, so now for the new cd.This is a much more mature album. He wanted to show a lot more of his soulful side and depth on this one. No flavors of ice cream or spanish on this one. He also changed his sound a little by being really involved in production and co-writing all his own songs, which was a great idea. This Lp is my favorite to date and you just can't hate. Most A&R groups in America probly thought this CD lacked commercial play which is why it wasn't released here, but doesn't anybody here care about talent? I guess not. Breakdown of the tracks- All the Way- The 1st single, excelent song that makes you wanna call your friends and hit a club. Heard the Kardinal beats remix and wow, the track would blow away any of these lame singles in this country. Don't Love You no More- good song, seems he's admiting to the girl it's his fault and taking the blame. Seems like he doesn't really care. Hypnotic- one of my favorites, reminds me of hidden agenda, great chorus and hits a lot of good notes Seperate Ways- another good mutual break-up song. Is this cd based on a real-life break up?, hmmmm Johnny- Now this is a very well wrote, deep song, almost scary, I'm curious on who the song was written for or about. Do You Believe In Love- first of many sad tracks, he contimplates his belief in love while thinking about what love was like with her. Mark Hill produces a lot of nice tracks like this on the Cd One Last Dance- Wow now this is the Craig I know. Never have I felt such feeling in David's songs before. He just wants one more moment with her, the one he'd give it all up for. The chorus is by far best on album, nice work! strong vocals. Unbelievable- Ok, this is the one track where you might cry. This song sums up in whole what the feeling of love is. The greatest unbelivable feeling that makes you feel so lucky and fortunate to have. Love is fragile so take care of it! Most beautiful track on album. Just Chillin- track 9, no matter where you are from as an artist is where you put your track that will get people up and dancing again especially after geeting so deep into feelings and that love stuff. So forget the girl, hit the club and just chill. Thief In the Night- Alright now this is my pick. MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME! Thank you Craig for writing and producing your own song solo and getting it perfect. The vocals are amazing and the beat, instruments, melodies, everything is just classic Craig David all the way. I know everyone can relate to this song. Working late while your girl is out with your best friend. The things that go on in your head, its unexplainable. Jealousy, anger, dissapointment. Such a great track, so much feeling such a great voice. Nightime on the freeway track. Thank you, this is why I've been waiting years for this new Cd. Take Em Off- From the greatest to the runner-up, this track has girls all over taking it off. Throw this jam on when your girl is over and it's a sure thing. I've had "good times" with "Follow Me" and "Personal" but damn Craig you did it with this one! There will be a lot more babbies on the way this year. Craig shows his vocal range on this track and it really can never be matched. My Love Don't Stop- This is a real nice track, especially if you have that real close friend that you've been wanting to make a move on, but you're scared to lose the friendship. Never Should Have Walked Away- On this track track he contimplates his decision now that he's missin' her. He made mistakes, but he didn't know what was really going on. Let her go- Another really deep and beautiful song. Dedicated to his grandmother that passed he tries to help his mother and himself get through it by remembering the good times, knowing that she is in a better place and will always be looking down and watching. If you are like me and you have lost someone close this song will touch you deep down. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost someone. Keep your head up. So for all you Americans, Go get this album! Craig David always puts out good music that you can dance in the club, sing in the car, get busy in the bedroom, and cry in the rain to. This guy isn't your poppy, dancing, shirt-less, studio-polishied producer puppet. Craig David is a real artist with a real voice, so bow down to the king of R&B and go get this CD!

I have to admit I live here in Malaysia & Craig Davids music is famous among people from around here. Well, I heard his new single "ALL THE WAY" on the radio and I really liked it. It wasn't so serious nor hard edged. A good mix of hip-hop, rap, disco & RnB. Making this a very versatile song! The album is very nice and of course very friendly indeed. Good to listen and good to groove to, depending on your mood! Here in Malaysia we have his CD in 15 tracks including the remix of "ALL THE WAY" as well. The two tracks are "Save The World" & "Cocoa Butter". Both very decent tracks. I just wondered why they never released this in the US. The music here is good. Compared to the garbage we receive from teen POP. This album rocks and the singles should be rocking up the charts anytime soon. Happy listening guys!
