Vanity Press designed especially for the vain,
By Charon "Charon" (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Story of HealthSouth (Hardcover)
Parts of the book are interesting. It was an era of rolling up small businesses into big businesses with Wall Street making the first killing and top management making the second killing. That part is OK but already well known. One gets the feeling that the dissembler believes his own tale. A good example of the limits to which fawning and excessive praise go unnoticed by giant egos.

Something is Mi$$ing,
By J. f. G. (Philadelphia, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Story of HealthSouth (Hardcover)
Something about this book just didn't seem to "cook". I felt like I was scammed. The storyline just didn't add up and I felt like I was taken for a ride. I'd put it up for re-sale, but I'm not sure I would get back what I paid for it.

Fact or Fiction?,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Story of HealthSouth (Hardcover)
There would seem to be a lot more fiction than fact given last week's most recent revelations. Especially interesting is the introduction by a well known Senator.

An American Hero is being persecuted,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Story of HealthSouth (Hardcover)
Mr. Scrushy and his associates are being scapegoated for their success, and so is this groundbreaking book. This is a wonderful book that TELLS THE STORY AS IT IS. The average Joe Sixpack is being duped, again, by a govt. that seeks to diminish Mr. Scrushy for political gain. Read this book if you want to learn the secrets behind success. |
