Not only is it interactive (child is asked, about once every 10 still pictures, to complete a task with the Wiimote), but it is flexible.

Parents can choose to have the voice talent read the story or you can turn the option off and read the story for your child.

2.0 out of 5 stars 2 1/2 year old not impressed
My 2 and a half year old grandson was not very interested in this game. It is mostly just like hearing a story read to him which I do often anyway. The interactive aspect of the game was very minimal and he had no patience for it.

Not only is it interactive (child is asked, about once every 10 still pictures, to complete a task with the Wiimote), but it is flexible.

Parents can choose to have the voice talent read the story or you can turn the option off and read the story for your child.

While there is a robust Options menu (volume, subtitles, page turning, sound effects), it's a shame that the subtitle size can't be changed. Bigger text would help the younger kids with word recognition.

With each of the four stories lasting about 15-20 minutes (depending on how fast your child is able to handle the interactive tasks), this can potentially be a fun bedtime routine alternative to the standard story time.

Lastly, I found the stories to be non-violent, inclusive and respectful of diversity.

I loved the idea, but my 3-yr-old is totally bored by it. I'd rather just read him a story myself. Very little true interaction with this 'game'. Might be ok for kids whose parents don't read books to their kids regularly. I dunno? Stories are ok, though. Think of this like a book on tape. Maybe I just expected more utilization of the wii features... Might be a good way to start-out for a toddler on the wii - to learn how to use the wii-mote?

When we were looking for a new Wii game for our daughter we ran across this game. It got such rave reviews we decided to get it since she loves stories. I must say part of me did question if it would be good for a girl given the picture of the dad and son on the cover. Well, the 4 stories are all more suited for a boy. My daughter was not interested at all. I would have appreciated knowing the stories on the game before hand, too. This would helped in my decision making, too. Later we did find a similar game with a mom and daughter on the cover. Sadly, that did not get good reviews. Very disappointed.

My daughter is learning to use the wii with this game. And loving the stories along the way.
