5.0 out of 5 stars Don't pooh pooh this one!
This is a terrifically funny book. Kids love it. In Australia it is called 'The Story of the Little Mole who knew it was None of his Business'

Enlightening as to the different kinds of poop animals expel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Quirky.
This is not a 5 star or 4 star book. Make no mistake.

With that said, it is a little kid's book, and short as all hell. The pictures are sure to charm any kid. The mole is looking for the culprit who has took a dump on his head (hint, rhymes with dog). Just a silly kid's book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone who saw this book asked where they could find it!, February 3, 2003
By A Customer
This is a very funny book. It never once uses any "base" scatological descriptions. Yet everyone understands what the "whodunit" is. The book is not just very amusing, but also educational - the illustrations are entertaining, without being gross or graphic.

Everyone I know who has a child, has asked me where they can find this book. It is tasteful, and deals with an aspect of life that most youngs ones are MOST interested in.

The only criticism is that it seems to be printed on slightly flimsy paper, otherwise...

Our family and friends abslutely adore this book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Story of the Little Mole Who Went In Search of Whodunit, September 29, 2000

My sister sent this book to me several Christmases ago and it has become a tradition for Christmas reading at our family get together even though it has nothing to do with Christmas. It is wonderfully illustrated and the "reading" takes on a life of its own in shared entertainment value. It is a great book to read aloud to a group and appeals to all ages. It is so funny. I loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars University course material, February 3, 2003
By A Customer
I was introduced to this book in a University elementary education science methods course for its good use of the investigative approach to science. Our entire class of students in their mid-twenties was rolling with laughter while our instructor read about little mole's investigation of who pooped on his head. As a future teacher, I would definitely use this book in my classroom to discuss how little mole narrows down his possible suspects using good science, as well as how different animals have different kinds of poop depending on their diets. As a future parent, I would love my kids to be comfortable with talking about bodily functions and using this book would be a funny way to talk about this topic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, August 16, 2000

I have the German translation of this book, and it is hysterical. I have been searching for an English counterpart since I bought the original in 1991,I am sorry to see this book out of print! Although I teach German to my fourth grade English speaking GATE students, they still want me to buy the English version because it is so funny for "kids" of all ages! !

5.0 out of 5 stars hysterical!, September 6, 1999

One of my students brought the original German version back from her summer in Germany. I read it to my high school German classes, a la kindergarten teacher. They loved it - and learned a lot of vocabulary! Only the Germans would produce such a thing. I have three small nephews and nieces, and I would love to find it in English to put in their Christmas stockings. The pictures alone are priceless.

5.0 out of 5 stars hilarious for all ages, January 21, 2008
This review is from: The Story of the Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit (Hardcover)
The Story of the Little Mole is incredibly well-written. (The German original is even better.) The illustrations are charming and hilarious.

I am 21, and my friends and I get a hoot out of this book. In fact, this book makes a great gift for friends of any age who have a sense of humor and an appreciation for the odd things in life.

My kids and I love this book. We laughed so hard the first time we read it. Very cute and cleaver. Admit it...all kids like talking about poop and this is a tasteful little story about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny, and entertaining!, October 29, 2007
This review is from: The Story of the Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit (Hardcover)
I love this book. It was shared with my 2 1/2 yr old pre-school class by a parent. They loved it. I couldn't stop laughing the entire story. I recommend this to anyone who has a sense of humor and who wants their children/students to develop a sense of humor.
