What kind of Poo is on YOU!,
By Miss Dahl (PA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Story of the Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit (Hardcover)
You know this book is really cute cause lets face it kids are shameless! They don't blush when they let out a little burp or hide after they pass a little gas most of them think its quite funny so the subject of this book is right up their alley. I think the story is hilarious and done finely in the aspect that its not gross or too graphic. Little Mole pops out of his hole only to be surprised with a little doogie falling plop right on his head and so he sets out on a quest to find the culprit of this mysterious dropping. He interviews a series of animals and finds out what their excrement looks like and in the end does a little dropping of his own. It's a hoot plain and simple and sure to make everyone laugh with its clever descriptions and funny animal expressions!

I first read this book ten years ago when someone brought it in to work. I laughed so hard I couldn't stop! Then I tried to find it everywhere, bookstores, kids stores, online stores, you name it. Part of the difficulty was remembering its name. I would do an Amazon search from time to time but could never find it. So it was for several years. Now I have a little 1 year old and decided to try my quest again. Lo and behold, The Great Amazon carries it in stock now! So without hesitation I bought it, with Amazon Prime had it delivered 2 days later, and read it to my little guy! It is probably my best kids book next to the Giving Tree and The Stinky Cheese Man. Be sure to find Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady too. But get this book! It's better you don't know what it's about, just get it and then enjoy it's pleasant surprises.

A one-of-a-kind children's book,

This review is from: The Story of the Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit (Hardcover)
Written by international journalist Werner Holzwarth, The Story of the Little Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunit is a most unusual picturebook in that it deals frankly with an oft-avoided topic: fecal matter. When a little mole pokes his head out of his hole one morning, plop! A distinctively shaped turd lands on his head. Discomfited, he marches up to one animal after another, and each demonstrates their innocence by pooping excrement in different shapes and forms. Finally two flies, clue the little mole in, so he can take potty revenge on the real culprit! A one-of-a-kind children's book, and a nice conversation-opener for talking to young children kids about toiletry and responsible (or irresponsible) bathroom hygiene.
