This an instructional book on fasting or raw foodism. It is a biography about Arnold Ehret. For those of you wanting to learn more about the man, his motivation, his challenges, this book shows you Ehret the man who became a legend and Father to the natural foods and alternative therapies movements.

There is a surrealness to this book by Ehret that makes it both strange yet very appealing. This is particularly evident when he's speaking of his travels in faraway lands.If you are looking for a straight up bio you will not find it here.

This book changed my life for the better...I highly recommend it if people want to have good health. Arnold was an amazing man. It is a shame he died at such a young age from a smiple accident of falling. However his words will live forever.

If so you might enjoy getting to know more details about his life. But for most folks this book is more than we really want to know.

Words fail. Ehret's other two books (The Mucusless Diet Healing System and Rational Fasting) are classics in the field, two of my favourite books. This book however, at least the half that I read, was incoherent, confused and gave the distinct impression that the author did not even know what he wanted to say in it. Is this book about fasting? Is it about Ehret himself? Or is it about some apparently inebriated old woman recalling her glory days in Enhret's company?

Definitely try his other two books. Avoid this one. You've been warned.

The contents of the book are important to understand the philosophy of life and the story of this greatest healer and reasercher, that found holyness through fasting.
