Toy Story 2 ~ Strumming Singing Woody doll with Musical Guitar!

My daughter just loves Woody. His faux pull string is confusing, since we can't determine its purpose - other than a handle with which to pull off Woody's vest - but his songs are fun. She loves to make him sing and whistle, and it was easy for mom and dad to find the light sensors that make Woody work. We also love that Woody have an OFF switch. Otherwise, he sings in the dark when his buttons get bumped. We are all learning the songs Woody sings, and the adults are amused by the clever lyrics to 'Home on the Range' and 'Oh, Susanna'.

This was the toy my son wanted for Christmas, and he has not put it down since. He takes it everywhere. It's helpful to be able to switch the guitar off (like in church). I wish the hat were made of a softer plastic, such as the Pullstring Woody's.

i purchased 2 of these last christmas for my 4 yr old son and 3 year old daughter. the songs are great, it is easy to play with, and you can shut the guitar off in the back when you are done. the only thing my children complained about was the fact that you couldn't remove the guitar from woody. a must have for toy story2 fans!!!

i'm very pleased with the "strummin woody doll,i read the reviews of other people about "buzz lightyear and the quality of the buzz lightyear doll, they are so wrong about the quality of the strummin woody doll and the buzz lightyear doll.i'm very pleased about both dolls the construction of "buzz lightyear and strummin woody is excellant in my book no complaints on either buzz lightyear and the strummin woody dolls.

he's so cool and his guitar is great too! you can sit him down on the ground and turn him on. and he either whistles or sings!! and he has a plastic hat too! so he's a great toy. but if you want his guitar off you'll have to break his hand off! so i don't think you can take the guitar away.

My son has had Strummin' Singin' Woody for almost a year now and still plays with it constantly! He loves it. The toy is definately worth the money. This was the best toy they came out with from Toy Story 2. The batteries last a long time too. That is a real plus in my book.

My son Benjamin received strummin Woody for Christmas. I thought it was a weird toy, but it has become his favorite of all his presents. The hat is his favorite part and he sits and strums woody for hours on end.

We bought this for my 4 year old for his birthday. He loves it and the adults in our house think he is cute too. Unfortunately the quality of Woody could be better. After only 3 or 4 days of very mild play, one of Woody's hands fell off. Just a bit too much like Toy Story 2, the movie, to make me happy. Here's hoping Woody's replacement is a bit tougher.

My daughter got this toy for Christmas. There is only one way to play with this toy. You must put it in your lap and either use your hand or the dolls hand to pretend to strum the guitar to make it play. The guitar doesn't come off and is permanantly attached to one hand. You must place the guitar strap around the dolls neck. Since it is a rag doll, when you pick the doll up, the guitar, which is much heavier than the doll, dangles and if caught on something else or dropped, I imagine would break. It has the big plastic ring on the back of the doll like the other "talking" woody dolls. My daughter tried pulling it to make the doll talk and was dissappointed that it was only for "show". This toy is basically the same principle as the "Barney's magic banjo" toy. It is motion activated. Unless you want to pretend to play guitar, the doll part is pointless. I think they should have made a "Woody's guitar" toy and not one with a doll attached. I'll have to buy her another "Woody" doll if she wants to play "dolls" with it.
