Whimsical and entertaining yet sweet, "Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness" is an enjoyably unique take on folklore. There's a lot that you will recognize, but it's told through a unique new lens that offers new insights. I liked the bilateral structure, with the different storytelling emphasis in Books 1 and 2 respectively. Overall, this is a touching and whimsical tale that I would highly recommend!

This book taps into my inner child love for all thing mythological but with an adult spin. Mr. Baker has a wonderful way of telling stories and even though I sort of heard some before his take breathed new life into to them. As always this title is well written. I'm finding this author uses words as one would a musical instrument and draws you in.

This is a fascinating and endearing piece of writing from an accomplished author who demonstrates an amazing facility with both language and conjured imagery. It works exceedingly well in ebook or paper format though I believe it would be most effective read aloud as I am convinced it would captivate audiences both young and old.

Story telling is the heart of all fiction though sometimes authors tie themselves up in linguist knots and lose sight of the importance of pace and audience involvement in their work. Not so Thomas who pitches his tales and their construction right where the reader/listener will find the most emotional connection.
I received a review copy from the author and recommend Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness without reservation.

I am fascinated by authors that are able to combine mere words, with what we know of life to form amazing stories. "Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness" is one such tale and Thomas Jerome Baker is just the right author to make it work. The Storyteller's tale began simple enough, but ended in a complete turn of events that I had not expected. This enticing story pulls from worldly and biblical teachings, enchanting readers with a mixture of creativity. Honestly, I could see myself floating about, quite eager as the one referred to as "Little One" to learn more and more about history because it was told in such an engaging manner. And when the tale moved further in, revealing a fascinating plot of destiny, and a battle between good and evil, I couldn't stop reading. I was captivated even more than before, as if possible. A quick read, yet quite fullfilling.

Time and time again, I have said that I love a tale that plays with language and words; one that uses an advanced understanding of what it takes to bedazzle readers. As I read, I had no choice but to smile and revel in the manner it all unfolded. From Leprechauns to Celestial beings, rainbows and pots of gold, the quest for immortality to the very nature of humankind, it's a savory tale for anyone that likes to get lost in rich imagination. Great job!

(NOTE: I received a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.)

When I picked up a copy of this book, I find the title, "Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness" rather enticing... I believe that this is going to be a good read for my afternoon reading pleasure. As I flipped through the pages, there is one sentence that really caught my attention, "Storyteller, the “bones” of Mother Earth must be objects of a size and shape that they could be thrown over the shoulder of Pyrrah and Deucalion." This sentence is simply and easy to understand for all readers.

Its uniquely stories are told in a manner that all can relate to very well. They provide great insights on human values.

This book is great for teens, young adults, and even mature readers like myself. If you like great fairytale folklore, then you'll definitely get lots of entertainment and enjoyment out of this book.

If there's one thing I'd change about this book, it would be to improve on the book cover to indicate a more mythical and magical feel rather than the current one. But overall, the book is really a great read.

This book looked great on my Kindle Fire tablet. It has good formatting and layout.

“Reading Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness” is a mystical, whimsical, enchanting journey through another time, another era. Thomas Baker weaves a beautiful tapestry using words as the finest wool to create a magical carpet ride. A most fascinating and captivating read that one must experience to gain the full beauty of it all.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this book, finding myself at times, with introspective and philosophical threads of thought passing through my mind. Have some fun and take a break and get lost again into the wonderment of that imagination that we once had as a child.

Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness by Author Thomas Jerome Baker

I was given a free copy of this book by the author for my honest review.

Talented Author Thomas Jerome Baker has penned a delightful book for all ages full of magic, mysticism, and make-believe. Each tale is expertly told and intertwined with the previous one in order to better explain and teach "Little One" some life experience. He is a rapt audience and absorbs all the information provided. The exchange is so personal that it could be any one of us that the storyteller is talking to...

In my opinion, this author is a present day raconteur who taps into his own imagination and uses his gift to spur on the desire to learn in both children and the young at heart. "Little One" starts off by hearing about Cloud Number Nine "the cloud of Joy and Happiness" which is comprised of "mythical, mystical, magical" elements. "Little One" is also very enamored by the storyteller and readily eats up every word of the stories being told. The storyteller is forever the teacher and adeptly uses the art of questions and answers to reinforce the educational opportunity for the attentive listener. Repetition....response....recapitulation...all great teaching tools for the storyteller to reinforce the learning experience for "Little One". From the Leprechauns who now live on Mother Earth to the celestial children Deucalion and Pyrrha who live on Cloud Number Nine, the reading audience is drawn more and more into the well described magical world found in this wonderful book.

"Story Tellers: In Pursuit of Happiness" is most enjoyable and is sure to bring much pleasure to its young reading audience. Whether folklore, fairy-tale, fact or fiction...
