5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Fabulous!, July 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Stott Pilates - Advanced Matwork [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is fast paced and challenging. I have been doing Pilates for two years and was looking for something a little different. The work-out, though long, goes by quickly and Stott's informative commentary maintains interest. Her discussion of breathing is especially detailed, without interupting the flow of the movements. Each set of exercises continues into the next without pause, adding to the difficulty level of this workout. This is not a routine for beginners! I tried this video after noticing positive changes in a friend's physique who recommended this tape to me. After doing this workout my entire body was humming!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great pilates challenge, April 2, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Stott Pilates - Advanced Matwork [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I love this video, but be sure you are advanced before you try it as it is HARD (she has other videos in the series which work up to it). It is 51 minutes long with 3 minutes of upper body work, 13 of lower body, and 22 minutes of super ab work. Her instruction is super clear as always and you really feel like she is there with you. Also, flexion and extension moves are carefully alternated so you are getting a great stretch for all your screaming muscles. This video just does not get me in shape, it makes me feel good. What is better than that????

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Work Out, June 6, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Stott Pilates - Advanced Matwork [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have Windsor Pilates and Crunch Pick your Spot Pilates tapes. Stott Pilates Advanced Matwork 2nd Edition is better than both. It is fast, has varied exercises and is challenging. If you want an overall body challenge buy this tape (about 50 min). Windsor Pilates is too slow and not challenging enough, Crunch Pick Your Spot is good but it is too short(30min) and not an overall body workout (duh). This tape is well worth the money IF you want a challenge.
