Another reviewer rated this mat 2-stars, saying it's fine for Pilates, but it doesn't have a handle to carry. Well...this is a PILATES mat...it's made for studio Pilates work and not created to be a thin, portable Yoga mat. In fact, I'm not sure why someone would pay the price for this mat if they think they're getting the thin, Yoga version. My Pilates instructor uses this mat in her studio and I liked it so much, I got one to use at home. If you need a portable, roll-up mat for yoga that you throw into a thin yoga mat carrier, this isn't for you. It's not made to be rolled up and toted around. Stott Pilates and other companies make thin roll-up mats for that purpose. This "Deluxe" mat is lightweight enough to move around from one area of the room/house to another. But it's over 1/2-inch thick, considerably thicker than a standard roll-up yoga mat, which are usually 1/4-inch or thinner. This one's great for all types of floorwork. I haven't found any other mat that is better for the purpose intended. It makes workouts more comfortable and even feel more professional and sturdy because it's so well made.

No handle or strap to tie together makes it hard to carry.
