They fold up and we can fit 2 in our trunk.

I was able to fix the bent frame and live with the dented fenders, but I will have to replace the broken brake cable to ride this bike if I cannot get it returned.
Heather
The bike's instruction manual is utterly useless.

Riders beware - I had a bad experience with this seller. The bike was shipped with assembly required - which I understood. However, the bike arrived with a bent frame, broken brake cables, and two dented fenders. Several weeks of inquiries have failed to produce either return service or a refund.

I was able to fix the bent frame and live with the dented fenders, but I will have to replace the broken brake cable to ride this bike if I cannot get it returned.

Also - the handlebars do not fold down. Therefore, the bike does not fold as small as other similarly priced items available on this site.

I would recommend the silver bike with the Shimano accessories for $129 listed when you search "folding bikes". A friend purchased one recently and it rides nearly as well as a Dahon.

Great value for your money. They sent the wrong book in the box, but for me the set-up was simple and straight-forward. I took it for a spin on hilly and flat terrain and had no problems. The gears shift smoothly and it's rides well. I like the extra long fenders, which will keep me clean when riding in rain or snow. I wish it had a device that can hold it together when it's folded, since it has the tendency to open up, but I can also get a bungee cord to keep it together. All in all, it's a nice looking bike that functions well.

I live on a sail boat 3 months out of the year and needed reliable land transportation for running errands. There are a great many folding bikes to choose from but this one caught my eye as being not only cheap, but it was also one of the better looking folders I've seen. And this, so far has been my experience:

When I received my Stowabike, it needed some minor assembly, I believe the front wheel and fender needed installation, as well as the pedals and luggage rack. It took about 20 minutes to put together. I was surprised to find that the dérailleur was in good adjustment from the factory. I rode it around the block in the snow and then folded it up for the rest of winter. This brings me to my first complaint: The handlebars require a separate tool (included) to collapse or remove.

When summer came around and my family departed on our voyage, I unceremoniously dumped the poor thing into a cluttered side locker on a nearly daily basis. It got ridden every day for this 3 month period as well, and had carried a child on the back for much of it. It did not receive gentle treatment to say the least. One thing you will notice is that things quickly fall out of adjustment when it is folded and assembled. I would expect this from almost any folding bike that uses so many cables. You will want to learn how to adjust the cables on any bicycle you buy, especially a folder. It has a tendency to throw the chain off the front from time to time. I believe this is due to the short chain stays used to make the bike compact, so I can see this happening on any multi-speed folder. When it did throw the chain it would tend to wedge itself between the plastic guard ring and the sprocket. It's easy to put the chain back on, but you might get dirty hands from it.

The bikes were shipped right away so there wasn't a long wait, the shipping speed was as promised. The boxes upon arrival looked horrible but that was probably from UPS'S end thank god the bikes were not scratched or dented being that they were packaged properly from the vendor. As for the bikes themselves, they are very good bikes..asthetically appealing and sturdy.those expecting these bikes to fold and be carried around like a Citizen Dahon I would not recommend because they do fold but for storage purposes or to fit into your car trunk because they are a bit heavy at about 40Lbs.The bikes are an excellent ride and the seat is very comfortable, the shimano shifter needed only minor adjustments and shifts smooth, the brakes are strong as well and the bike can accommodate a large person.I'm 5'11 and weigh 210Lbs and I can ride it comfortably. My only negative comment would be that the bike needs to be sent with the correct instructions for this particular bike, the instructions are from their mountain bike and even though the bike does come pre assembled you will have a bit of a hard time with the rest of assembly if your not mechanically inclined.Overall it is an excellent product,so far I love it and for the price you cannot beat it...I would highly reccommend it.

After opening the shipping box which was torn in areas due to poor quality cardboard I expected to find broken or bent parts. To my astonishment the bike was intact, save for a dent in the front fender which was located where the front brake assembly went. Unsure I decided to let this go.
I had read the reviews from previous buyers so, I expected to see no owners manual but there it was with the bike. I'm an aircraft mechanic and have restored a few older bikes so, this wouldn't be a challenge,,,,, took an hour to get the thing right without using the manual just by using common sense. I couldn't help but think how previous reviewers could be stumped by this simple little bike, still, I would be lost in somebody elses world if I had to do a cubicle job.
After the bike was built and adjusted I took it for a ride and was quite surprised at how nice it rode. Being from Southern California and grownig up on strand cruisers, I expected the bike to be a little frail but, no such thing. The bike shifts well however, the gearing is quite low, don't expect land speed records with this bike. The brakes stop the bike quite fast, only question would be the brake handles which are plastic, don't know how long they will last,,,, nothing beats metal for the stress they are put under.
The bike folds up quite easy with the only difference being the goose neck which has to be removed with the allen wrench which was provided along with a wrench of various sizes, I purchased a canvas bag from WalMart large enough to carry all my items for a day out which has velcro straps for the handlebars and the tools go with me, just in case.
