the best lotion I've ever used,
By
This review is from: The Hoofmaker 6 oz (Health and Beauty)
this lotion smooths my rough skin better then my bath & body works 'purely silk' silk protien lotion. the moisture in in 'hoofmaker' lasts longer then bath and body works and almost seems to firm my skin. the only complaint I have is the name, it's a bit akward. can you imagine telling anybody you're favorite lotion is a hoofmaker?!
otherwise, I highly recomend this lotion.

Best lotion for extremely dry hands,

This review is from: The Hoofmaker 6 oz (Health and Beauty)
This is the best lotion for extremely dry hands - and it is non-greasy! I discovered this product when I had horses and used it on their hooves. I noticed how great my hands felt after applying it to their hooves. Now I buy it just for me!

Great looking nails and hands,
This review is from: The Hoofmaker 6 oz (Health and Beauty)
This stuff works! I grew up raising horses and I, too, noticed my nails and hands improved when I groomed the horses' hooves. This is a very old skin/hair care company with good products. I have low thyroid and my nails were brittle, peeling and breaking. After using Hoofmaker Hand & Nail Therapy, my nails are stronger, stopped peeling, and breaking and look great. The skin on my hands is more supple.

This is the best!,

I absolutely love this stuff and am having a hard time finding it in our local stores. Walgreens used to carry it in the tube (lasts quite a while) but now only carries the shampoo/conditioner. It does wonders for your nails...conditioning and growth...I honestly swear by it. My nails are never better then when I use this cream. Makes your hands feel wonderful as well.

This is THE solution for nail biters,
By Erik Jones (Takoma Park, MD United States) - See all my reviews

I have been trying to stop biting my nails for 35 years. No, that's not a misprint or an exaggeration. 35 years. I began biting my nails when I was five years old, and I'm now 40. I've tried to quit a good two-dozen times. I've tried polishes, hardeners, bitter sprays, everything that you can buy in a regular store. Nothing worked. My nails are brittle, easily chipped, and very, very flexible. Once I got a chip, that was it, I couldn't help but bite off the nail. And once one nail was gone, the rest came off within a day.
I thought I'd give it another try, this time with a ridiculous product for horses, called the Hoofmaker. I rub it into my nails every night, and have been doing it for four weeks. Last night, just as a test, I tried to bite my thumbnail. I couldn't do it! No matter how hard I bit, I simply could not bite through the nail! This is a miraculous product for nail biters like me. Buy it (it's cheap!) and use it every night. You'll be amazed at the results.

OK...I know this product is called Mane 'n Tail...but use it as a hand cream a few times a day and your weak, brittle fingernails will start to toughen up and grow! Believe me..it works!

More of a legend than reality?,

This cream is okay, but nothing spectacular compared to any other foot cream I've used. I have a feeling the success of this brand (their entire line of products) is a triumph of marketing and myth making over reality. The main reason for me to write a review is to warn you, if you've never used this before and are ordering it for the first time, you might find that after it arrives and you're stuck with it you don't much like the way it smells. That's what happened to me (my husband didn't like the smell of it, either). We persevered and used it until it was gone, but we won't be buying it again.

This is the best skin cream I have ever found. I'm so glad Amazon carries it! I have been using it for years, and was unable to find it in the stores for awhile. Now my husband has started to use it, and he's a doctor! Loves it.

Does nothing for nails that I can see,
This review is from: The Hoofmaker 6 oz (Health and Beauty)
This product, which I purchased at Sally Beauty on the recommendation of the saleswoman, does not help nails AND is a mediocre hand cream at best. Don't waste your money!!

I love how easily this lotion gets absorbed. No more sticky, greasy hands! However, I've used a whole bottle and my splitting nails still split and are fragile. I will continue to purchase due to how nice the lotion feels after application.
