Comment: Some light highlighting in the beginning of the book. First 13 pages and inside front cover look like they have a light liquid mark of some kind, but these pages are still straight and readability is not affected. Alignment, action and accountability. Quint Studer, founder and CEO of the Studer Group lists three things that an organization must have to succeed in the increasingly competitive medical environment. First they must align their entire organization to a set of goals. If part of the organization is not aligned they will work against the larger goal. Second, the organization must take specific actions to get where they need to go. Studer calls these 'prescriptive to-do's.' Just knowing what to do isn't enough, you must go and do the work. Many organizations suffer from what Studer calls paralysis of analysis. And finally the organization must put into place a system of accountability to make certain everyone gets on board. Studer's many years of consulting with the very best medical organizations in the country shows in this comprehensive and innovative book. No matter where you fit in the field you will learn something new from this book, and furthermore something you can put into action immediately to improve your organization. This is not a book you will read and put aside. It becomes a workbook that you will refer to on a regular basis to make you a better professional.

This book was purchased by our SVP for a team of field-based account professionals in the health care market. The book contains some great insights for closed health-systems, especially if executive management were to get on board. Not especially helpful for our market where services are soft, clients are varied, and business occurs in multiple health-care venues across 50 states.
