James gang purists tend to dismiss these two (along with newborn/jesse come home) but i cant for the life of me figure out why. I've got everything the james gang ever put out and straight shooter (with the late, great dominic troaiano) just happens to be my favourite of the bunch. The funk factor is off the scale and fox/peters are in top form plus i always liked kenner's vocals rather than the whiny joe walsh. If you're a gang fan, especially if you like the later bolin stuff, you'd dig these albums. Jesse come home is my second favourite with the great track 'Love hurts'.

I love the album as I have been looking for it for a long time. It plays fine on one of my cd players, but skips or freezes up on the other. Both players are about the same age. Not a deal breaker, just wanted to mention it. I am thinking that there is so much data on the disk (double album) that one player struggled to read it.
