let's Straighten it out is a timeless jam.real fire&soul on this cut.he has his own style&sound.if you dig Johnnie Taylor then you have to give Latimore a try.very soulful.

This CD has most of Latimore's big 1970s hits that he recorded for the T.K. Records' subsidiary Glades. While the deep-soul and Southern soul-flavored ballads and mid-tempo numbers are all superb, the disco dance tracks were totally inappropriate for him. This is nonetheless an excellent compilation and Rhino must be thanked for releasing it.

I heard 'Let's Straighten It Out' by Benny Latimore first on Music Choice Classic R&B on cable TV. It stood out amoung other songs. I bought STRAIGHTEN IT OUT/The Best of, and It Ain't Where You Been. They're both great soul music CD's.
