Product Description
From the ancient town of Salemi in western Sicily comes this organic marzipan of unsurpassed quality. The fine texture and clean, simple flavor makes cakes, candies and cookies more delicious than ever. Try it by itself as a candy. Contains only organic Palma Girgenti and Mandorla Cuore almonds, organic cane sugar, and organic vanilla. This marzipan is also used in Italy to make a superb almond drink (latte di mandorla). Place 1 quart of water and 2/3 of package contents in a blender. Blend until all the marzipan has dissolved.

This is THE marzipan for your holiday baking. Soft, smooth, sweet, easy to roll out-- you'll be fighting off the kids to eat the leftover scraps from your cake or candy projects. I have used other brands and they are coarse compared to the silky sweetness of this heavenly product from Sicily.
On the practical side, it comes in a sealed foil pouch. It stays in perfect condition for a couple of months in a cool cupboard.

I visited Sicily about a decade ago. I ate many almond desserts on the island, and encountered the delicious Sicilian marzipan the first time. Unfortunately, I haven't found the same flavor since... until now. The Stramondo marzipan has a superb intense almond flavor, despite that it does not contain any flavorings, only organic raw sugar and almonds. The texture is very fine,smooth. I cook quite a lot, and like almonds, so I fell in love with the product. The company sends it with UPS as default, i. e. the postage is rather expensive... therefore now I will order three packs of it in one shipment...

I love marzipan, and this is the best I've ever had. I can't understand why the kind they make in California has to have corn syrup and artificial flavors in it??? I'll pay more for the best.
