So this is the last of the Cajun werewolf series :( But let me tell you I loved it!!
It follows Burke, the last of the Deveraux pack to find a mate. The story starts out with Burke escaping the "mate hunt" his pack seems to be on, but runs into a very interesting and injured woman, Kendall Carver. Because he's a gentleman, Burke of course helps her out (even though he has a rule about humans) but Kendall has some secrets of her own.
Ms Blake found a great way to bring all the Deverauxes back at the end to provide some good closer to the series & give fans an ending we can all enjoy. This is not one of the more racey books in the series like Bitten or Seduced, but it still leaves you steamy!! Great way to end the series!! Thanks Selena!!

Stuff happens at the start of the book and stuff happens a few chapters before the end, but the rest has as much action or interest as paint drying. Maybe if the story had been shortened up considerably, it would have been better. The scenes are all drawn out until the story has no momentum. I can see why the heroine asks the hero if he is gay. He keeps tentatively coming on to her and then backing off and acting like he never showed any interest in between. I like plenty of romantic tension that builds quite a bit before the first kiss even, but it has to be tension, not boredom. I liked the female main character, but the guy character seemed dull. I couldn't maintain interest in his heartburn about his last serious girlfriend. Then after the climax of the story, there's this get together of all the couples from the other books in the series that went on way too long. This author needs to work on plotting and characterization I think. It would have been better if there was more detail about the two characters' backstories. At least this story was only 99 cents. If the story had been edited and pared down, it might have made a good short story.

It was great. Ms Blake has done it again. Her Cajun wolves rock!
This was a great romantic read and I read it in only a few hours. It was not as sizzling as the rest of the series, but provided a good closer to the series. Fans of Selena's Cajun Werewolf series will not be disappointed.

Book 5 (and final) "Stormy Weather". Book 4 Mated to a Cajun Werewolf.
Christmas Special: A Cajun Werewolf Christmas
Stormy Weather "a 5-in-1 anthology" - books 1-5 in the one place, at the one price!

Plot:
While running from her creepy-supposed-fiance, Kendall crashes on the snowy mountain, right in front of Burke. What's a werewolf to do but take her home and protect her? But with the Bad Guys still out there, a storm overhead, and an inconvenient desire to sleep with her, can Burke keep Kendall, and his heart, safe? Or will all the secrets eventually destroy them?

Comments:
- Contemporary paranormal (Shape Shifters) erotic romance.
- 2417 kindle locations, 40,000 words. Finishes around location 2392.
- m/f - not overly explicit or frequent but generous and loving. More spicy than erotic.
- Includes an excerpt from Surprising Darcy.
- This is the fifth and final book in the series (except for the "Christmas Special"...). DON'T START HERE. The other books can pretty much be read in any order, but "Stranded with a Cajun Werewolf" should be the last.

Opinion:
A nice finale, that needs the other books for the last couple of chapters. Without knowing the series history, the last chapters would come off cheesy and cliched.

Stranded With A Cajun Werewolf was a great read.

A large part of this book has to deal with family dynamics. When I started reading about Burke's family, it made me wish that I had the kind of family that he had. However, my family was more like Kendall's, so I can understand where she was coming from. I was never close to either of my parents.

The author did a great job with the plot and I never felt I was missing out on anything, even though I haven't read much of the series. I felt that it had a great flow. I enjoyed the characters. The way they pick and carry on just makes you laugh.

It was great reading a book about shape-shifters and having them be so close. Loved the way they all look out for each other even though at times it would get on the other's nerves. That's how family is.

This is only the second book that I have read in this series and I just want to say that I really enjoyed reading both. I will be having to add the other books to my wish list and reading them. That way I can read them in order and see more into each of the Deveraux's lives and get more into how they do things. Thank you for writing such a great book. I would recommend this book to everyone.
