5.0 out of 5 stars Haiti relief / insirational song, January 24, 2010
This review is from: Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) (with Rihanna, Bono & The Edge) (Version 1.0) (MP3 Download)
I heard this song for the first time during the relief concert. Jay Z, Rhianna, Bono and "The Edge" were singing but the one I didn't know about was the authour, David Rudder. David Rudder is a singer and writer from Trinidad that wrote this song in 1980, about Haiti's troubles. The question is where the hell were we, the Americans, who paid no attention to their trouble? They are on our backdoor step and we have ignored them. Their agony is our shame. This song brings out those hidden feeling plus the desire that encourages us to say never again and not on our watch. It's a great colaboration. Bono's presence increases the point as well as Rhianna, who is from Barbados. Haiti Mon Amour!
