5.0 out of 5 stars Giving In to Temptation
Ms. Jackson is definitely a great writer and continues to spin great stories of love and family involving everyday issues of life.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not really feelin' this one. Sorry BJ
I have to admit, this was not one of BJ's best works. I'm not too thrilled with Stranded because of the fact I have no idea who the Garrison's are, nor do I really care. All I knew was that I did not like this story all that much. I have to agree with the other reviewer when she said it's like coming into a movie theater an hour or so into it and you have no idea what's...

Ms. Jackson is definitely a great writer and continues to spin great stories of love and family involving everyday issues of life.

This is the 4th book in the 2007 Harlequin Silhouette Desire series - The Garrisons, a story of love, money, hatred, deceit and intrigue.

Stranded With the Tempting Stranger by Brenda Jackson is Cassie Garrison's story of love, romance and intrigue! Cassie Garrison knows her father has another family in the United States, but her siblings do not know of her existence -- that is, not until the death of their father, John Garrison, who has been leading a double life.

John has been raising his family with his wife, Bonita, who has an alcohol problem, in the United States, but John also had made a new life with Cassie's mom in the Bahamas. This life changes drastically when not only Cassie loses her beloved mother, but now her father, John also dies shortly thereafter.

The Garrisons siblings lives are also changed. A change that they find difficult to deal with, especially Cassie's half brother, Parker, when they are given the news of their newly discovered half sister of the Garrison clan. Cassie's oldest half brother, Parker Garrison sends Brandon Washington, the Garrison's attorney on a mission. After Cassie has refused to negotiate with Parker and Brandon, Brandon decides he will go visit Cassie and try to convince her to Parker's way of thinking.

However, Cassie was not what Brandon thought she would be. After first setting eyes on Cassie, Brandon became captivated by her and she by him. They did not know who each other were and Cassie had no idea what motives Brandon had, however, when she did discover his motives, the sparks definitely ignited and flew!

Would the flames that burned between Cassie and Brandon die out, smother or would they continue to burn despite Brandon's deceit? Would love win over the pain that Cassie felt? In order to uncover the details of being "Stranged With The Tempting Stranger" you must read the story!

Another great one, Ms. Jackson!

5.0 out of 5 stars The next exciting installment of The Garrisons series, October 15, 2007
Brandon Washington was best friends with the Garrison family and they were his law firm's biggest client. Brandon was just as surprised the Garrison heirs when he read their father's
will, and they found out they had a half sister, Cassie Sinclair-Garrison, who had been the manager of Garrison Grand-Bahamas Hotel. They were even more surprised when Brandon told them that she would now be the owner. Their father's will also give her and Parker her older half brother equal controlling interest in Garrison, Inc. Cassie would as control as Parker over all of the other stocks and financial growth in the company. Parker wanted to get Cassie out of the
company as quickly as possible. Brandon decides that since Cassie wouldn't talk to Parker
he would go to the Bahamas and find something that they could use against her make her sell her shares and hotel back to the parent company.

Cassie had love John Garrison as much as her mother Ava Sinclair had. John had raised her
to be the manager, and eventually taking over as the owner Garrison Grand-Bahamas Hotel. Parker keeps calling Cassie, and she just wanted him to go away and leave her alone. She wasn't going to sell her out. Then a tall, dark, and handsome man checked into her hotel and he would be changing her life forever. What will happen when she fines out that Brandon Jarrett was the Garrisons attorney?

Brenda Jackson has brought to life the love of a father for his child, in this exciting installment of The Garrisons series. Brandon must come to terms that Cassie was not the evil half sister that the Garrison family thought her to be. However it was hard to be loyal to his friends
as Brandon becomes closer to Cassie. I was turning the pages quickly to see if Brandon couldn't undo the damage that his lies had caused. Pickup a copy of Stranded With The Tempting Stranger and see if love can find a way.

All I knew was that I did not like this story all that much. I have to agree with the other reviewer when she said it's like coming into a movie theater an hour or so into it and you have no idea what's going on. It's not right. I'm not a silhouette desire reader but I want to have all of her books. I also don't like the fact that silhouette books are only 186 pages or so and it seems as if they have to cram everything into that making it unbelievable. I just can't see how you can actually love someone that deeply after 3 days. It's just strange to me. And then after a month, now you want to get married. I'm not giving up on her though. Still love you Brenda, just not so much this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stranded With The Tempting Stranger, December 17, 2007
As expected Brenda Jackson outdid herself. I was thoroughly mesmerized by the characters, the detail to the surrounding and mostly by the love that generated from the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story!!!!, November 21, 2007
This story was an excellent read. I almost did not get it because of the other reviews. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Brenda Jackson's stories. The romance was there, it was entertaining, and is worth the purchase. Get it, you won't regret it. Brenda Jackson has done it again. I can't wait for her next story.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Stranger was definitely tempting., October 30, 2007
Some may say that you need to read the other books in the series to understand the story line, but it's not that hard to relate to this story without reading the other books. I truly loved this book so much that I read it in 1 day. Brandon and Cassie had a chemistry that was so hot. I loved the entire story and it has made me think about reading the other books as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Read, October 26, 2007
Back Cover:
Cutthroat litigator Brandon Washington wasn't use to being ignored. So when Cassie Garrison - the newly discovered half-sister of his firm's biggest client - refused his repeated attempts at contact, he set out to teach the elusive heiress a lesson. He would travel under an assumed identity to her Bahamian home and using every skill he possessed, he would uncover all of Cassie's secrets.

But once his seductive mission was accomplished, would Brandon find his professional mission at war with his very personal interest?

Comments:
Brandon attorney for one of the wealthiest families in Miami goes to The Bahamas to find and investigate the daughter of the Late John Garrison. Brandon is sent on this trip because Cassie has failed to contact her half brother to negotiate some sort of buy-out for her interest in the family company. Due to Cassie's failure to respond to the attempts made by the Garrisons to negotiate an agreement, Brandon conceals his identity to try to dig up some dirt on Cassie to force her to the table.

This book is a very good addition to The Garrison Series. The H & H are instantly attracted to each other and don't waste time in expressing their attraction, this is of course threatened once Cassie finds out about Brandon's deception and his true reason for visiting The Bahamas.

I enjoyed reading this books, but felt that the relationship was a bit rushed, which is not outside of the Harlequin\Silhouette format where the story must be introduced, developed and resolved within 175+ pages. I started reading this series from the first book and so far find that each one can stand-alone, but I do believe that the reader will have a more enjoyable read, a bigger picture and a better understanding, if the books are read in the order in which the series was written. The reader is given small bits of what has occurred in previous books and what may be in the following books in the series, which takes away from the limited format allowed to dev. the story but may leave the reader wanting to know more which is important in marketing a series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprise, I liked it., November 20, 2008

3.5 stars. Yes, yes, I know I swore off BJ books about two years ago, but I decided to try one her shorter books on the Desire line and what do you know...it's by far one of her better works. Really. I was stunned that I liked this one. Of course, I had no idea that the Garrisons was a white family until another reader friend let me in-apparently this one of those continuity books HQ likes so much. You really wouldn't be able to tell this fact by reading this book until like the last 35 pages, but that's no biggie. The conflict is paper thin and is resolved rather easily. I think the saving grace is that it's such a short book. Even still, there's a little padding involved, but not enough to drive you insane or anything. There are quite a number of typos but even that doesn't stop this from being an entertaining short read.
