A Great Introduction to Robert Morgan's Poetry,
By
This review is from: The Strange Attractor: New and Selected Poems (Paperback)
As a writer, Robert Morgan got his start writing poetry. He took his experiences of growing up in the mountains of North Carolina and expounded on the beauty, love, and danger of the area. Filled with imagery and emotion, his poems pull you in; though you might not be from the Appalachians, your heart feels a part of these hills having read them. You could even say his writing both embraces and transcends regionalism. Best known for his novels and recent biography of Daniel Boone, this collection of new and selected poetry is a great introduction.
