Book Description

January 7, 2004
Strange Beauty is a collection of poems that add up to reveal that failures, trials, limitations, hardships, and losses only make us stronger by relying on Gods strength and resources; they help us dare to believe and make us stupid enough to aim higher than we can possible achieve. And in a strange but beautiful way we begin to realize that everything that happened was actually stretch us, to make us people of character, dept and integrity. Strange Beauty is Olutayo K. Osunsan's first collection of poems. It highlights the colorful qualities of the human condition, it's trials, hopes, losses, failures, successes, fears, dreams and its endless facades. Through the limitations and situations, the human spirit permeates through all obstacles and that is the Strange Beauty of life. The diverse qualities and unique incidents in the world are captured in this collection through the eyes of a young African. These poems depict the relationship between God and man, love and life with its ups and downs and celebrate the flaws and abilities that add up to life. Strange Beauty is not only a collection of the author's experiences, but it includes that of the reader and every single book of the same title by the author ends differently. 5.0 out of 5 stars I Don't Find It Strange, August 6, 2006

This review is from: Strange Beauty (Paperback)
Olutayo K. Osunsan manages his prosody with ardent being and ineffable spiritual bliss. He is truly the keeper of a magnificent world filled with beauty and majestic love. I feel hallowed after reading his poetically tangible beats. His poetry makes me proud to be alive, to be a Christian, and to be a fan of his work.
