This review is from: Strange Bright World (Paperback)
The most remarkable thing about Strange Bright World is that it is fiction. Aaron is so eloquent in his description of New Earth that the reader forgets that the place is a figment of the author's imagination. For days after reading the book, I found myself wondering what was happening in the lives of the characters, as if I'd returned home from a vacation and wished to keep in touch with people I'd met there. In his first published novel, Aaron proves himself to be a master story teller with a carefully paced revelation of the plot. Even in the final scenes new details emerge which add depth to the convergence of the two story lines. Strange Bright World is a relatively quick read and can be enjoyed on a surface level, but readers with an interest in theology will appreciate fresh points to ponder in regard to the mystery of life after death. The only thing disappointing about this book is that it does not yet have a sequel...
