Badly written with little imagination,

Reading some of the former reviews I was looking forward to reading a great escapist novel. Well it was not. Writing style was not good, lots of logical faults ruined what seemed in the first place a good idea. The timeline is a mess, and the ending not that good. Want to read about man becomes woman, read The Sex Gates trilogy instead.

I like this book. It show you from good person what you become. And it show you when you bad what you will get. The story very good from start to finish, but I didn't like on the end. I think , should give him another chance to correct his mistake. Overal I give it B+

Disguised christian fiction.,
By SciFi Fanatic and Real Science Maven "Sci fi ... (West Des Moines, IA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
The book was disguised christian fiction. after the first chapter almost every over page was quoting scripture or moralizing. Also the book was baddly paced and the ending rushed. The change from good to bad made no sense and was not explained. The ending made no sense, based upon the premiss of the book. Overall I could not recomend this book to anyone.

Should be listed as Christian fiction.,
A Kid's Review

This book felt more like Christian fiction than fantasy. Not that that is bad but it was not at all what I thought I was buying. Just not my cup of tea.

This book wins the award for the worst book I have ever read. So I guess that's something. Poorly written and terrible concept. Bleck.

Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover.,
By Alan (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
The cover should have tipped me off on this one. It looks like someone did it on photoshop with little thought behind it. The book is the same way. It starts off with a boy using some magic power, given by God or the devil, who turns himself into a model in a Walmart ad. The girl turns out to be some child model on her way to being famous. The problem here is Walmart uses no pro models in their ads. All the people are family of employees. The rest of the book is just as bad with unrealistic dialog, characters acting in ways no rational human would and a timeline that makes the whole thing just stupid.

Ultra High-Quality Strange Change Is Non-stop Fun!,
By Maynard Lional Peralta (Aurora, Colorado, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
I really enjoyed Strange Change. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. It's not just a "good" book, it's a great book! Usually it takes me about two weeks to read a book, if I'm into it. I read Strange Change in two days. That is how much it grabbed my attention. I'm glad I took the time to go to www.abookshops.com and check Strange Change out. I'm going to tell everybody I know about this book. It was a pleasure to read and I enjoyed every bit of it. I would give it six stars, or seven or eight, but the most they let you give is five. This was a great find, and I look forward to reading other novels by this author.
Sincerely, Maynard Lional Peralta

Different IS Good!,
By Dorothy (Chicago, Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
Strange Change is unlike anything I've ever read before. Readers of every genre from Tolkien to Tolstoy will be deeply moved by this absolutely brilliant contemporary fantasy about a boy with the awesome power to change the world. Unfortunately, his utterly selfish inclinations move him to change only himself, with disastrous results that will leave the reader not only richly entertained, but deep in philosophical thought.

Strange Change Will Change You.,
By Suzanne Marshall (Phoenix, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
Incredible escapist literature, Strange Change will not soon be forgotten by anyone who reads this tightly written, breathlessly paced novel with an ending that hits like a slap in the face. What a mix of fantasy and thought-provoking philosophy! Unbelievable! Unforgettable! This author is genius as yet undiscovered by the masses he so obviously loves. At once heartwarming and chilling, you won't be able to shake this one off anytime soon. It will leave you thinking long after you've closed the cover. It will change you.

STRANGE CHANGE / KILLER NOVEL!,
By James Valdez (Las Vegas, Nevada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strange Change (Paperback)
Alan of New York is daft. Not only is the cover of this strange novel awesome, and rich with symbolism, the story is, too. There's more psychology in this little novel than in ten psychology text books, and the narrative is fast-moving and stunningly vivid. There are three more novels by Nicholas Ifkovits that I have to get.
