So... I've been waiting over a decade (closer to 2 now) for this book to be released. And when I saw that they were re-releasing all of the Night World books, I was EXTREMELY excited, especially with the hope that they would (finally) release Strange Fate. So yet again, I'm disappointed that they haven't released this yet. BUT! I did see that (possibly) the audiobook will be released on Oct 20th, so here's hoping that the book will be released on the same date as well. I really need to know how this series ends.

I am one of you and would like to inform you that Lisa, has had an life-threatening illness in her family.

Which resulted in long time sickness and death. She has her own medical history too...

But one thing is Exceptionally Important! The publisher's take releases of books forward, not an author and if it had not been for The Twilight Series, simon & schuster would never have gone back to Lisa and asked her to complete Strange Fate, after the success of re-releasing her published novels, which again hit the New York Bestseller List!

She has now in 2011 [end of] been contracted to complete it.

I hear it is going to be over 1000 pgs long.

I have been waiting for this book to come out since I was 12/13...I'm almost 26. Will she ever finish it? I feel like she's been "working" on it forever. I honestly think I will have children in the targeted age range by the time this book is out. Sorry to rant, but I'm so sick of the disappointment. I mean I see the ad, get excited, then when I click on it..poof "sorry it's unavailable." I'm just sad about the whole thing I think. I miss the old cover they had for it, I want to know how the series ends...oh well. I guess I will continue to wait.

I remember as a youngster I discovered this wonderful series of books, I was enthralled, captivated by the concepts and then one day I caught up... So I eagerly awaited the final book in the series and yet it never came, year after year dragged by and still it never came.

Robert Jordan died, and the final book in his epic series is still going to come out before L.J Smith finishes this series. So really, despite loving the books, I have to ask. What's her excuse? I understand wanting to get it perfect, but more then a decade later? Tell me what she wants and I'll use my meagre talents and write the damn thing for her.

I hope that the long wait will be worth while! I have loved all of her charecters and hope that this wait will be worth it. If not, I will go on strike! XD

This book is going to make a KILLING when it comes out! I mean, it's going to make a TON of money!

And obviously it's been written for a while since it's been um, well since the 90's. Even if L.J. Smith revised it some... I mean, really? It has to be done by now!

So, my question is: who is dropping the ball on this??? I mean, really, who?? Because I know plenty of Night World Fans who can drop by their house and ask them what's up...

I don't know how exactly it works in the world of publishing, but there are SO many books published all the time that don't sell that great... THIS particular book is going to do AMAZING. It's going to make all the people involved in it lots of money. It's going to create (really really really) happy fans who have been waiting (not so patiently) for a long, long while now for it. So what's the problem? PUBLISH IT ALREADY (PLEASE :)).

I've been waiting for this book for like ever! And I'm not exaggerating! I loved the series and can't wait much longer for the next book to come out!:) Please come out soon!

I've had the Night World books for a few years now, and just finished the last story two days ago. when i got to the end of it i see the page advertising Strange Fate, i was a little upset because i was soo hooked its addicting lol. cant wait to read the new book finally

so i was telling a friend about these books and how i have been looking for it for a few years... i just thought that we had a not so great book selection in the small town i live in so seeing that i just got a kindle i was going to come home and download it although i would still like to have the real deal sitting next to the rest of the books on my book shelf...and now knowing that the wait is stell not over well i am a little bummed to say the least

For those of you who are wanting to know when this book comes out, I looked on Barnes and Noble.com yesterday and it said the release date is 2014.
