5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ! ITS AMAZING!, November 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Strange Forces (Paperback)
This book is one of a kind. It made me literally feel like Iwas in it! Iv'e read it over and over and can't stop. I want to getall the Strang Matter: Strange Forces books and the Last Buru too. I you want a real alien/monster/unknown species THRILLER book, this books would be it! Once you pick it up you can't set it down. Once you finish a chapter you just have to read the next. There are all kinds of strange creatures. For example Burus, Mingwas, Marlaks, Mothman, Pendeks, and all other kinds! Then their is the Collecter. He is the main evil dude in this chilling story. This book is I believe in Indianapolis, Indiana is not for sale anymore. So I need to get the others from here at Amazon. This place has it all, and so do the books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Basically a great book that I would recomend for anyone., May 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Strange Forces (Strange Matter) (Bk. 1) (Paperback)
This book is great! Strange Forces takes all the Strange Matter books and rolls them into one astounding novel. As far as I know, there are four of these books, Strange Forces 1,2,3, and Strange Forces: The Last Buru. People didn't buy these books enough and apparently, the creators went out of buisness. I wish more people had known about them, then the book would have gotten more sales and it would have stayed in buisness. Strange Matter was a great series, and I know quite a few people who want to see Strang Forces, and all the other Strange Matter books, make a comeback. I would reccomend this book to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange Forces-The Bigger, The Better!, July 19, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Strange Forces (Strange Matter) (Bk. 1) (Paperback)
Engle & Barnes could stomp the competition such as Goosebumps and Ghosts of Fear Street, if people would just read their Strange Matter series. They don't let us down with the newest addition to Strange Matter- Strange Forces. This book takes us to a new level of terror and suspense because this book isn't the usual 120 pg. Strange Matter. This time we leap into an epic story that lasts 269 pg. of terror. From the get-go, Engle & Barnes keep us in suspense when they introduce a new character named Rilo Buru. He has escaped from his master The Collector, and trying to find an ancient item that can give The Collector power over all supernatural beings, in Fairfield, the city where Strange Matter books take place. Rilo Buru has stolen The Collector's only source of finding the item, the Ceques. The kids who have encountered monsters, ghouls, and ghosts, in Fairfield come together to help stop The Collector from finding the item that will let him control all strange forces

5.0 out of 5 stars Got them all!, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Strange Forces 1 (Kindle Edition)
I remember Strange Matter and Strange Forces. One of my absolute favorite young adult book series! I loved how the books would depict strange and fascinating monsters. The storylines were unique and ran the spectrum of the science-fiction and fantasy-from out of control A.I.s to sorcerers attempting to return to this world, and even undead gunslingers!

I remember the first time I ever found a copy of the book series...I was at what was is now the MCCS on the Military Base in Mira Mesa, San Diego, California! What first caught my eye was that the series was using CGI pictures on the cover. The first book I read I think was "A Place to Hide". As I first read the books, I fell in love. I would like to think that the series sparked my interest in cryptozoology, the study of unknown animals. I read all the books, both Strange Matter and Strange Forces. I was a member of the book club, had two shirts with what could be considered the mascot of both series, Rilo Buru, one of the main characters of the Strange Forces series, on front. I still have all my books (I ended up losing my copies of books 2 and four of Strange Forces). I have met the authors of the series, and got two books signed by them (my first copy of"Strange Forces 2", which I lost and "Doorway to Doom".

Even now, I miss those books, and it was made worse that one more book was suppose to come out, "Rilo Buru's Summer Vacation", and it never did. That hurt.

One thing I am glad about is that someone appears to be selling Audio CDs versions of the books. Don't know who, but I am glad they are doing this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Books 1-4 of the Strange Forces Series, February 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Strange Forces (Strange Matter) (Bk. 1) (Paperback)
I read all four of the books in this series as a Child. I have always been an avid reader ever since I was able to read. I got the series as a gift when they came out on the market, and for the few years that I had the books I must have read each of them at least 50 times or more. I have read the Goosebumps series and many other teen horror series, but I have to say even though this series was only 4 books, it had me totally enthralled from the moment I picked the first book up. I just recently ordered the whole series from Amazon again. I highly suggest that anyone looking for a good read should turn to this series if they can get their hands on some copies. In my humble opinion, I doubt that if your a fan of the genre that anyone would dislike this series. The way the authors paint the characters and their surroundings is just phenomenal, real A+ series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange but good, November 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

The series is great for any age. My only complaint is the author fell off the face of the planet and disappeared before finishing the series. I wish the series was complete. If any one knows what happened to the author of "strange Forces" please let me know. demonthedog@gmail.com thank you.
