Jay Jesse johnson has the goods.Its not ground breaking,what he does here on Strange Imagination is bowl you over with his heavy bluesy playing.Alot of players try to go for the Hendrix inspired playing,but cant reach that top level.Johnson brings it on and shows he is worthy.His songwriting skills arent too shabby either.This isnt just a collection of covers,great songs throughout.and man that guitar playing is as tsasty as a Texas BarbQ on a summers day.

Thanks to Groove Yard Records, I found this guy. He is a great guitar player, and to hear him on his 2nd CD with FOGHAT's Charlie Hunn is a treat. All of his solo CD's have some great songs. I have even gone back to find some of his other projects. Well worth the listen!

If you want to try some thing new like i have try blues rock i found some great guitar players including jay jesse johnson srang imaganation.This cd has it all from country rock to blues rock to rock you will find it here.The stand outs are strange imagination, wild little heart breaker ,into the fire ,lauralee, and my favorite end of the day.He has many influences here from hendricks to savov brown to foghat and sounds good on every one you wont want end of the day to end its a fantastic song, it is that good.Buy this cd iam sure it wont let u down.
