Editorial Reviews

* STRANGE INVADERS (1983). A group of aliens who took over a small Midwest town 25 years earlier and is preparing to return home is uncovered by a tabloid reporter and a professor who fathered a half-alien daughter. This cult-flavored sci-fier, lovingly evocative of the drive-in chillers of the '50s, stars Paul Le Mat, Nancy Allen, Louise Fletcher and Diana Scarwid. INVADERS FROM MARS (1986). A young boy is awakened during a storm to witness a flying saucer land in the field behind his home. No one will believe his story as, one by one, the townspeople are captured and put under the control of sinister forces from the planet Mars! Brilliantly created by visionary set designer and director William Cameron Menzies (designer of "Gone with the Wind" and H.G. Wells' "Things to Come") with a haunting musical score by Raoul Kraushaar, this golden age sci-fi classic has lost none of its chilling power. Surreal imagery brought to terrifying life in a Cinecolor world just beyond our nightmares! * INVISIBLE INVADERS (1959) - Spine-tingling excitement builds with each narrow escape in this sci-fi thriller about a nightmarish attack on Earth that begins when aliens inhabit human corpses. John Agar stars. * JOURNEY TO THE SEVENTH PLANET (1962, Color, 77 Min) - This exciting sci-fi thriller follows a crew from Earth on the first exploratory journey to Uranus, where they discover voluptuous women and a sinister alien plot.

I bought this set out of curiosity and for the remake of 'Invaders From Mars', but the '80s remake left me wanting to watch the original '50s version again. As for 'Strange Invaders' and 'Invisible Invaders', well, they're both entertainingly funny in a bad way.

My husband suffered a traumatic brain injury and all he thinks about is stuff from the past. He wanted the movie Journey to the Seventh Planet. I got him this 4 pack and he loved them. For todays standards, they are funny to see what the future would be like from the 60's mind frame. I would recommend these to kill an afternoon with.

For someone who was raised watching sci-fi in the 1950's & 1960's these are good movies to add to my collection. While people may think of them as being old fashioned, which they are, at 69 years old I still enjoy that genre.

These movies aren't bad, but they aren't the best of the classic scifi bunch.

The big surprise for me was Strange Invaders from the 1980s. It's a slow starter, but a very good plot.

The rest are OK. Be warned that the Journey to the Seventh Planet's audio does not sync with the picture. It's storyline as been done on so many other scifi shows - including Star Trek. I'm just not sure if this was one of the first or not.

Overall, it's not a bad buy for $5, but if you want scifi you can't stop watching, Grab Destination Moon, Quatermass, Colossus - The Forbin Project, or Demon Seed (with Julie Christie).

Somewhat enjoyable, but don't expect too much. I bought this set just for "Invisible Invaders". The price is fair, for what you get.

I know these are rather corny movies, but I'm a fan of them. Several memories of my childhood with this set. Thanks

they are putting the double features together in one standard size case.its a clearcase so its double sided label too bad it doesn't have the trivia facts still on the case. it about the same price as the double disc so it is a good deal and takes less space than 2 double feature packages. i hope they re release th entire collection as 4 movie sets.
