I rarely rate albums, too subjective, but this one is simply WOW! Mix Beth Heart and Amanda Marshall and you get this brilliant album. Well produced, beautiful voice, catchy tunes = great album. I am amazed she has not been "discovered" by a mass audience. I found her with a pandora suggestion, and what a recommendation. Buy this album, you will not be disappointed.

I am lucky enough to live in Jennie's "regional area", and so have had the opportunity to see her many times. She has a sparkling personality, a rapier wit, and best of all, GREAT music. This album (along with all her others) showcase her talent, but I must say, her live performances are EVEN BETTER! I have such a natural high after seeing her perform with her extremely tight band. If you have a chance to see her, by all means do so. I also have to agree with one of the reviewers who can't believe she has not broken out to a mass audience nationally/internationally. I have to believe it will happen at some point. Anyway, keep putting out that great music Jennie - we love you!

If you haven't been lucky enough to hear Jennie & the boys, NOW is the time to give them a try. Don't just get her new cd though, get them all. She has an amazing voice. Her live performances are spot on...and when they are not, she's the first one poking fun... She's funny as hell, a great storyteller. And what makes it even better....She is a "good soul".
