5.0 out of 5 stars Complicated, but Excellent
This book is narrated by Rachel, so you know it's gonna be good. The book is kind of complicated, and it introduces the Ellimist, who appears in later books as well. This is one of the begining books, before the series started to go downhill. I would definately recommend this to anyone who isn't too far in the series, but stilll loves the Animorphs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Seller feedback
I was not initially happy with this little book as I was expecting it to be in better shape. It was not damaged, just old and used. The seller immediately offered a refund and apologized. Since receiving this book, I started searching around and realized this series appears to be out of print and at least a decade old. Most of them are used and yellowish. I also learned...

5.0 out of 5 stars APPLEGATE'S BEST YET, July 1, 2001

This review is from: The Stranger (Animorphs, No. 7) (Paperback)
Wow this is a great book that is not boring like some Sc-Fi books. It is full of action and it is the first one that has the Elimist in it. I liked the part when They had to destroy the fake sun that the yeerks use to stay alive and it was cool when the Elimist took them into the future and told them what could of happened. In this book Rachel has to make a big decision. Should she move with her dad and leave the battle of the Yeerk or would she abanden her dad and stay and fight the yeerks. If you will read this book you will see Rachel's point of view with the Elimist story and you will see if she stays or moves away with her dad. Find this all out in Animorphs #7 The Stranger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leave the Fight?, November 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Stranger (Animorphs, No. 7) (Paperback)
This is one of the best animorphs series book. I loved it because it introduces one of my favorite characters: the Ellimist. Rachel is stressed. Atop of having to fighting the evil mind-controlling yeerks by turning into animals, her father is going to move away and wants her to come with him. A chance for a normal life. But she can't leave now. Her friends have found an entrance to a yeerk pool where the slugs rest each three days. They go inside as roaches and are almost swallowed by a taxxon (a controlled spacial worm) when time stops. A strange man tells them that he can take them to another planet along with some loved ones where the human race can reproduce. Some have made their decision. Will the fight be abandoned?

5.0 out of 5 stars Ellimists............., February 26, 2002

Rachel is known as the warrior, right?she's the fierce, battle loving, not afraid of anything type,Right?Well, when Rachel's Dad tells her he's moving to another state, she's mad...How could he just leave??????????Well, then he tells her that he wants her to come with him,she could live with him,and they could do lots of things together, and Rachel could take gymnastics lessons with an Olympic Champion....It's Rachels Dream come true, but what about the Animorphs, the Yeerks, the Andalite???????Rachel has to think about this,I mean,You can't just walk out on your friends and leave the fight, can you?well,Rachel is getting a little stressed out about this,What should she do??????????Well, while all that's happening for rachel, the other Animorphs have found a way back to the Yeerk Pool, and you know what that means.Yep,that's right,a trip to the yeerk pool.....But things don't exactly go as planned(who knew that taxxons liked to eat roaches?),And just as they are about to be Taxxon Food, everything stops....Really,It's just like someone hit the pause button, but forgoy them...As they walk aroud they find Tobias,In HUMAN form, and they're puzzled,What made time stop???????????Then they meet the Ellimist.....He says that they are not going to win the battle with the yeerks,And Ax believes him,You see,Ellimists are like fairytale creatures to Andalites,They are supposed to be all powerful, and they can travel through time.....But anyway,What he tells them is that since he knows that they won't win the fight he offers to take them,a few loved ones, and some animal speices, and relocate them to a planet simular to earth, but they have to decide.
Later,he comes and asks again,Rachel is begining to lose it,Why where all these people asking her al these questions, like come live with me and we can go to ball games,or better yet we have a whole new planet for you!She just can't take it!!!!!!Then to prove his point that they weren't going to defeat the Yeerks the Ellimist zaps them into the future,in a world where Yeerks rule..........

5.0 out of 5 stars This book was great!, January 17, 1999
By A Customer
Out of all the Animorphs books that I read,(1-7), this one is the best. The Animorphs, (Jake, Marco, Cassie, Tobias and Rachel) find a new intrance to the yeerk pool (yeerks are grey slimy slugs who go inside peoples brains and make slaves of them)they use their roach morph to get in but almost get eaten by a Taxxon. Then time stops. An Ellimist gives them the choise to go to go to another planet. I won't tell what happens so you can read the book yourself. I really recomend you read this book weather you like science-fiction or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars This ones for eveybody, June 2, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Stranger (Animorphs, No. 7) (Paperback)
This book, "The Stranger" is the best book I have ever read.It is number 7 in the Animorphs books,so you think, just another dumb Power Rangers series right?Wrong!!!It was exiting and exotic, different than most other kid thrillers and I'm not really into kids books anymore,I read adult sci-fi and young adult thrillers like Christopher Pike books.I can't wait for number 8 this was so good I have to know what happens next. This book is guarented to keep you one edge of you seat all the way with the strange being and plain old normal teenagers brought togather by a huge galactic war. It's the yeerks versus the Animorphs, who will win?Who will go down in the battle? You want to know?Read this book now.-J.B

5.0 out of 5 stars I Should Know This Book, May 15, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Stranger (Animorphs, No. 7) (Paperback)
I should know this book I had to write a report on it.Here is my summaryThe science-fiction novel I read was called The Stranger. It is by K.A.Applegate and is the seventh book in the Animorphs series. The story is about a young girl named Rachel. She had been given the power to morph into other animals by an alien called an Andalite. With her friends Jake,Cassie, and Marco. They battle evil alien slugs called Yeerks. They crawl inside your head and sink into your brain using their power to control you. Then there is Tobias. He stayed in a morph for over the time period, two hours, and is trapped in his morph. They also met another andalite named Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill or Ax for short. He is the brother who gave the kids the power to morph and was killed that day by Visser Three. An evil leader alien yeerk. He was the only yeerk slug to have an andalite controller. He was the Animorphs main enemy! In this book they encounter the Ellimist. He says he can save their lives and a few

Since receiving this book, I started searching around and realized this series appears to be out of print and at least a decade old. Most of them are used and yellowish. I also learned my niece's fledgling collection is all used and she is expecting this. The book was so inexpensive that I chose not to return, but am pleased with the courteous and prompt offer by the seller.

I love this series I can't say enough about it. I read these books when I was going through the awkward stage in life where you think reading is dumb. I credit them for making me the avid reader I am today, they are easy to read and quick. I love that every book has a different narrator that is the kid on the cover. Good books if you haven't picked one up you should or at least the side series
