My 3 year old loves the "Land Before Time" movies and this was a nice short one she watched while I tended to her baby brother!

A very well told story with some good things taught to the little ones, it is also a lot of fun so kids keep into it all the time

While the show is pretty safe as far as violence (there are many scary "sharp tooth" chase scenes) and safe from subversive messages, the language used is pretty awful. I am not saying profanity, but things like "sky water" instead of rain or "night circle" instead of moon. When my 3 1/2 yr old son called a rainbow "sky colors" I knew he had been watching the show for too long. He knows the proper word is rainbow but started talking like the dinosaurs from the show. We have since limited the amount of time he can watch it.

My 4 and 5 year old love this series, but then again, they also love the movies. These shorter stories are very similar to the movies and perfect for a half an hour, which is more appropriate than many of the movies.

The kids 3 and 11/2 ask to watch it everyday. The only problem is that after about 10 minutes it stops. I then have to start it again but the kids have a fit. It starts and then stops again. It does not matter which episode it is.

Great opening theme song and great method to teach. Fans of the series, old and young, will like this television version that teaches children about responsibility, having fun, and great moral values. It is rare to see a series like this anymore; one that does not talk down to children, but rather shows them by example.
