Moscow is a Great Place!, May 26, 2000
This review is from: Stranger in Moscow / Off the Wall (Audio CD)
Without a doubt, the original "Stranger in Moscow" was the brightest highlight of Michael's '95 double album HIStory. While the album was a little disapointing (for the most part the new tracks seemed less than cutting edge... and where's "Human Nature" ? ), this track made it more than worth the purchase. Believe the hype, this song is timeless and truly one of Jackson's very best ever... and now there's remixes! I bought this single when it was first released and I was not disapointed (well, I was a little, I was hoping it would be enhanced like "They Don't Care About Us," but I guess you can't have everything). Every remix is unique and highly inspired, with reinterpretations incorporating everything from R&B to dance to drum'n'bass. As a bonus there's an excellent remix of "Off the Wall" courtesy of Junior Vasquez. I really could not recommend this single more, and even people with only a passing interest in the song or Michael should check this out.

Classic, April 28, 2001
This review is from: Stranger in Moscow / Off the Wall (Audio CD)
Stranger In Moscow is one of the best songs from Michael Jackson's 30 year career as a solo artist. It is a beautifully done song that has so much depth and meaning, it truly reaches out and touches the listener, like much of his music. This song is classic, its hauntingly beautiful and this single is worth the price alone just to have the remixes, get it this is a milestone in his career.

BEAUTIFUL, March 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Stranger in Moscow / Off the Wall (Audio CD)
The song Stranger In Moscow is definitely the most beautiful song I've ever heard. It sucks you inside this unreal, passionate, depressing world. It is stark, but that, ironically makes it so meaningful and thought-provoking. It climaxes powerfully, however, and leaves you feeling as though you have tasted a moment of the divine. It connects you with a higher level of spirituality. Michael Jackson is a genius!
