One of my Childhood Favorites,
By
This review is from: Stranger from the Sea: Teetoncey (The Outer Banks Trilogy) (Paperback)
I read this book when I was in 6th or 7th grade (many, many years ago). I had liked The Cay so I'd decided to try other books by the same author. Teetoncey was an immediate favorite. It wasn't just a "boy book" like The Cay. The description of the Outer Banks was so precise and the characterization of Ben, his mother, and the mysterious, sole survivor of the shipwreck were so realistic that I found myself dreaming about them at night. I was drawn in by both the mystery of who Teetoncey really was and by the progress she made as she slowly came out of her shock. Would she ever talk?! I preferred the Teetoncey books over The Cay, so if you were lukewarm to The Cay, give this series a try.

This review is from: Stranger from the Sea: Teetoncey (The Outer Banks Trilogy) (Paperback)
It's a good story about Ben O'neal and a person who came into his life. It was a good book. I think it would be neat to read the rest of the trilogy. I think you would like it if you got the book. It's got a lot of stuff about shipwrecks and oceans and the outer banks of North Carolina.
