4.0 out of 5 stars Good source of Welsh folklore, April 4, 2006
This review is from: Stranger Than Fiction: Welsh Ghosts and Folklore (Classics of Preternatural History) (Paperback)
Though an old title, Stranger Than Fiction still has worth in the study of Welsh spirits and legends. There are chapters on the local faery folk, witchcraft and other occult presences. My favorite happens to be the portion devoted to the corpse candle, which is a ghost that serves as a fetch or a will-o-the-wisp. Very creepy with its blue-flamed candle. It's interesting to see how the folklore of Wales is very similar to that of the other Celtic countries.
