Vengeance, lost lands, innocence and titles are the underlying themes in this sensual, erotic historical romance. When a young woman, Melantha, destined to be a spinster due to the activities of her rogue of a brother who uses her dowry to gamble and play, she turns to writing erotic fantasies in her journal. Ransom, an outcast nobleman who has lost his lands to her family returns to the hidden walls and tunnels of the estate for important family papers, only to find Melantha's bedroom and her sensual journal. As blackmail he insists on pleasuring her nightly, giving back one page of her journal after every evening of pleasure, until she can produce the family papers required to get his lands back. In the dark of night he takes her innocence and continues to return for many nights, providing her with intense pleasure. But Ransom did not count on falling in love with his enemy's sister. And when Melantha turns up pregnant with his heir, he returns as a handsome nobleman attempting to court her and win her love. Melantha, not realizing this gentleman is her nocturne lover attempts to hide her pregnancy and flee. But in the end, it is Ransom who can save her from a life of loneliness and control by her family. Stranger in My Bed is an intense and extremely sensual story of mystery and suspense with lies unveiled and true love curing long time hurts. A pleasurable read for those readers who enjoy a good erotic historical romance.

The saying goes "don't judge a book by its cover", but I can tell you by looking at the cover art for Stranger In My Bed and having read it......this book definitely delivers and then some! Though short (<200 pages>, this erotic historical romance packs punch. The passion is super steamy (light bdsm) and the romantic suspense holds you till the very end -who is the stranger in Mellie's bed? Who is the man who brazenly demands so much of her and gives her everything she desperately, but doesn't yet realize, desires in return? Well, I for one was a bit worried at first about who (or was it more than one stranger?) it could be. And would there be any romance at all? or only sex? Luckily it all turned wonderfully in the end (no menage or anything even mildly kinky). And the sexual tension between Mellie and her stranger (once you knew who it was) was perfection. A super steamy romance that that kept me hooked -great read. Recommended.

Dammit I have to stop looking at that cover! *fanning myself* I think I'll go get myself a glass of ice cold water right now ;)

As time goes by, it becomes clear that Melantha is not the only one captivated from the nightly encounters. Everything changes when Melantha finds herself in a compromising position. Soon after, her mystery lover reveals himself, but can she trust him after he has deceived her all this time?

Stranger In My Bed is a romantic and sensual story that just got better and better as I read. As the story progresses it becomes increasingly more romantic. The suspense is gripping and the loving is very sensual. Discovering the identity of Melantha's lover consumed me. Stranger In My Bed is a lovely and passionate historical romance that captivated me with a terrific storyline and two wonderful characters.

I loveeeeeed it very good read for me i like the story line, the concept good fantasy and both characters loved them however the ending was ok could be a little better but still ok. no need for description see above

Was a good erotic read. Not great but a lot better than most out there. I think she should have done more with the Male lead when he was visible to lead female and made her earn for him more before she knew he was the lover of her nights.

I have continually reread this book through the years. Like i said i love this book.the general plot is one i like and the writting is great. i wish the author wrote more books.

Spent $30 for my copy and could not have been more dissatisfied with a romance book. No plot, bad sex, no romance, very expensive = DONT BUY THIS BOOK
