As hard as some of their stuff is to find, it's worth every penny!

I heard these guys all over central and Tampa Bay-area rock radio in the early-mid 80s...Rock 100 WDIZ in Orlando and 95YNF in Tampa Bay were the BEST rock stations around and they promoted these guys in good shape. My only wish, aaide from having had a chance to catch these guys live back in the day, is that this album had clocked in at more than 28 minutes plus. Certainly these guys had a lot more material this good. I always remember hearnig "Get On Up" on the radio, and when I saw this album earlier this year in a used vinyl shop, I was immediately transported back to Gainesville in the 80s. This LP is every bit as good as I remember it, and I've gotta get more of their stuff for sure. Some people thought the 80s sucked...well, for a decade that was supposed to have sucked, this is some pretty damn good rock & roll! As hard as some of their stuff is to find, it's worth every penny!

this is the greatest band to come out of florida since lynrd skynrd i only wish they had a chance to make more music r.i.p. ronnie g. the live shows rocked the house. they always took care of me with backstage passes at the rockit club in tampa fl when i wa in town ill never forget you guys. in a lot of reviews you dont actually know the band but i did. just a bunch of regular guys who liked wild turkey and budwieser.----and good southern rock and roll.

These guys were the best. Just a bunch of regular dudes who liked to party and play good rock-n-roll. We had some great times at ML Chasers. Greg has a new band (Damn The Torpedoes), and it still gives us old Stranger fans a chill to hear them play the classic Stranger tunes. Ronnie, you are gone, but not forgotten...RIP bud...

I saw Stranger in concert (in Daytona) several years ago. They had a great show and their music was crisp, powerful, and in your face rock and roll. The tape I purchased at the show (No Rules), is one of the best I own- out of 350 of other artists. This one sounds just as excelent as the last. I wish they would re-release both CDs. This band never recieved the recognition and marketing talent they deserve.

I 1sts met STRANGER in Orlando at Swinneys ( way on the outskirts of town) & who would have EVER KNOWN that they would have become my FAMILY !! And that Greg would have hooked me up with my future husband ! Which was one of their crew ! Theory age guy & security fell Marley in love with me @ 1st site & begged Greg to hook him up with me . But I was not n to the Rock & roll dating scene ! You always hear bad story's ! But theses guys where TOTALLY DIFF !! After ALOT of convincing ! I went out with John & a couple of months later we where mad key in love & un separable ! I traveled every gig pretty much with them & even wound up working for them . I was the band nurse . I STILL have my band nurse tour jacket & ALL my laminates & Johns ! And MANY MANY MANY photo albums of the WONDERFUL YEARS of memories that our STRANGER FAMILY had & the music that they put out & they produced ! These guys where soooo amazing together ! Some of you above spoke of our sweet Ronnie G ! Yes he was an AMAZING guitarist ! There will NEVER EVER EVERVb another like him ! It crushed me & us all when he left us ! But he has company now & this is SOME COMFORT to us even tho it's very very sad ! Some of you haven't heard ! JP - the Leader of the band & Drummer ( John Price ) died a few months ago . Please remember Johns family n your thoughts & prayers ! There's just Greg & Tom King left now & they r jamming together n The Greg Billings Band & they play a few Stranger tunes from what I hear ! STRANGER will NEVER DIE because their music was SOOO alive & so where they & they still r in away ! And let's help keep it that way ok fans !!!!

The best Florida band ever and one of my all time favorites just from the first self titled album alone. I used to listen to them on WDIZ (ROCK 100) Orlando and WYNF (95YNF) Tampa. Too bad WORJ (ZETA7) (Orlando) was gone in 1981 or they would have played them too as this first original album was released in 1982. I bought the Rock Solid compilation CD from Amazon and it was well worth it many times over. Still one of my all time favorite bands. Swamp Woman was the song that I believe launched their career as it got the most radio airplay.

I first saw these guys during my brief life - living in Indian Rocks Beach Fl. They played in a small club called Club 19 in Clearwater. Needless to say, once I saw them, I wanted to catch them live every time they played in the area!! Great live band and it brings back some great memories!! Wish I could find some of their other music!!
