Editorial Reviews

Review

STRANGERS IN A STOLEN LAND: INDIANS OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY FROM PREHISTORY TO THE NEW DEAL is recommended for any Southern California history collection and for any library strong in regional Native American history. It's especially important given that comparatively few Native American titles focus on California Natives, versus the wealth of information available for other U.S. regions. He original edition of this title covered San Diego County Indian history from 1850-1880: this expanded edition incorporates many new chapters on San Diego County history into the 1900s. A key, important survey highly recommended for any comprehensive California history or Native American collection --The Midwest Book Review
