My Dad wrote this book,
By Tim Brophy "Tim Brophy" (West Henrietta, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strangers and Guests (Paperback)
My Dad wrote this book. He spent over twenty years writing, re-writing, re-working, changing and re-doing it, mostly on an old Royal manual typewriter. After a decade plus of trying it was finally published two weeks ago. Yeserday, May 1st, 2005 my father, the author died of a heart attack. He was 71 years old. If you have extra time on your hands and want to see what Rural Wisconsin was like in the 1970's through the eyes of someone who loved to string words together for the joy of it please give it a chance. It may seem at times wordy with long, syntactically challenging sentences and obscure references to dairy farming but if you want an alternative to sattelite TV, the internet and supermarket style paperbacks you maight be rewarded.
